Alright, so you wanna know about this Juno movie, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. It’s a picture show, a movie, you get it? About this young gal, name’s Juno. She’s just a kid, like, sixteen or somethin’, and wouldn’t ya know it, she gets herself in a family way.
Now, this Paulie fella, he’s the daddy. They’re friends, you see, but not like boyfriend-girlfriend, not really. Just kids being kids, and then BAM! Baby on the way. Happens all the time, even back in my day, though we didn’t talk about it so open-like.
So, Juno, she’s gotta figure out what to do. She’s thinkin’ about, you know, gettin’ rid of it. That’s what they call an “abortion” these days. Big word, huh? But it’s a big decision, too. This movie, it ain’t afraid to talk about these things, the messy parts of life, you know?
What’s this movie all about, then? Well, it’s about growin’ up, that’s for sure. Juno, she’s gotta grow up real fast. She’s gotta make choices that most grown folks don’t even wanna make. And it ain’t easy, no sir. She’s got her ma and pa, and they’re… well, they’re parents. They try to help, but sometimes they just make things more complicated, you know how it is.
- It’s funny, though. Even when things are tough, Juno, she’s got a smart mouth on her. She’s quick-witted, that one. Like that time she moved that whole living room set onto somebody else’s lawn! Crazy kid.
- And then there’s the couple, the ones who wanna adopt the baby. They seem nice enough, but they got their own problems, too. Nobody’s perfect, that’s the truth. Makes you think, doesn’t it?
This Jason Reitman fella, he directed the movie. And Diablo Cody, that’s a funny name for a woman, ain’t it? She wrote it. They say in the commentary, them two, they ain’t boyfriend and girlfriend or nothin’. Just workin’ together, see? Platonic, they call it. Big word for just bein’ friends, if you ask me.
Now, if you wanna read the whole movie, like every word they say, they got this thing called a script. It’s like a book, but it tells you what the actors gotta say and do. You can find it online, they say. On the internet, somethin’ called the “Internet Movie Script Database.” Sounds fancy, huh? I wouldn’t know how to use it myself, but the young folks, they know all about that stuff.

Is this movie okay for kids? Well, that depends. It’s got some cussin’ in it, and they talk about, you know, grown-up stuff. The sex and all. So, maybe not for the little ones. But for teenagers, yeah, maybe. It shows ‘em that life ain’t always easy, and that sometimes you gotta make tough choices. And that even when you mess up, you can still figure things out. It’s a warmhearted movie, they say, even with all the sass and the swearin’.
Ellen Page, she’s the actress who plays Juno. She does a good job, real believable. And that Michael Cera boy, he’s the daddy, Paulie. He’s kinda goofy, but sweet, you know? They’re good kids, just in a tough spot. That’s life for ya, always throwin’ ya curveballs.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know ‘bout this Juno movie. It’s about growin’ up, makin’ choices, and findin’ your way, even when things get messy. It ain’t all sunshine and roses, but it’s real. And sometimes, that’s all you need, somethin’ real.
