One great thing about Kubrick's Shining is it's a very stripped down story. You can even argue that nothing supernatural happens, and it's just the story of a guy who hates his family who finally snaps.
This new film OTOH looks like a generic "urban fantasy" story with generic directing.
U obviously don't understand Kubrick's The Shining.
