1. Absolutely fictional account but they tried to make a decent movie I guess. guards killed in a unrealistic way, general wears the wrong uniform for the time period, Alcatraz shots are of the modern era as the warden’s house is burned down today but not then, modern city scape… etc

5. That's gotta be one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Hats off!!

6. Not a bad movie but totally different from the forgotten miniseries "Alcatraz, the whole shocking story."
   Part one focused on this escape attempt and ended with Karns the only one not shot or executed because he would not shoot the guards.
   In part 2 he aided Morris and the Anglins in the hope that their successful escape would get Alcatraz closed down, and at the end it appeared to have worked.

11. I went to Alcatraz two weeks ago in a boat tour it was amazing

13. Well, on a scale of 1-10, I'll give it a 7. The thing that threw me off was that portion with the "General". In real life, even a General couldn't wear a stach like in the Army. And the Uniform? BDU's didn't come out til Special Forces used them during the Korean war. And still, those he was wearing are modern day (with the velcro on the sleeves). The presentation of that was not well researched. Other than that, a good story line!

14. At 1:14 the Transamerica Pyramid is visible with other Sky Scrapers that didnt exist in 1946

17. Was a good , well done movie, but only except that the religiously dogmatic biblical commentary I definitely thought was unnecessary

18. I can’t buy these prisoners with these nicely pressed powder blue dress shirts that look like they just came from a French cleaners.

19. End scene is completely unbelievable. Neither looks to be in their 50's. He comes out wearing a leather jacket he could not afford. Movie started good and fell apart.

20. The choice of the military commander is ridiculous. This movie lost all credibility, when the military commander looks like a WWF wrestler. This is 1946!!! No way anyone in the military looked or spoke like this guy. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
