  3. This movie is a comedy interspersed with painful allusions to slavery, discrimination and segregation.  Its an amateurish film, ridiculously transparent and a reflection of the director's jumbled mind and confused feelings about himself and his own past.  Does Peele want black Americans to be affluent, with access to country clubs and golf courses (a reference to the golf club that the little girl uses to bludgeon the doppelgangers)?  Or does he sympathize with those black American's who resent their brethren for attaining same?  Its not scary, but silly.  And the ending… it makes no sense, because it bears no relation to the overall film.  It was an afterthought, perhaps an idea a stagehand whispered to Peele as he was agonizing over how to conclude this absurd movie.  The fact that people love it is testimony to our society's sharply declining standards.

  4. Just saw this last night. Was quite good, but not as good as Get Out. First 2/3rds of the movie were perfect, falters a little at the end with too much exposition that somehow still leaves u with more questions than answers. The twist was pretty obvious early on. But the idea was unique, it was shot beautifully (especially the opening sequence) and it kept me entertained for the full 2 hours. Also Lupita should get Oscar consideration for her role (or should I say roles), she was great as Adalaide, but even better as her “tethered doppelgänger”.

  5. If you pause the trailer on the split second frame of the guy holding a sign when the wife talks about coincidences, you see the sign says Jeremiah 11:11 and that bible verse reads – “Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil on to them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.” (Had to look it up lol) but Jordan Peele is brilliant! So many hidden clues and foreshadows!! Can’t wait to see this!

  6. Dude at the beginning holding a sign says Jeremiah 11:11 "Therefore this is what the LORD says: 'I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them. "

  7. Anyone else notice the weird family sticker on the car in the beginning of the trailer? Usually they're in descending order from tallest to shortest and not holding hands but, in this one they are in a weird order and holding hands. Later on the family standing in the drive way is in the same order and holding hands. The foreshadowing is crazy but it also make me feel like the family in the driveway is the or a "real" family. Thoughts?
