Love Ming Na Wen, but this movie is not very good.

Was ok, simple entertainment. But when the ship captain says “This is the worst storm I’ve ever see!” Then the men who go overboard fall into very calm waters.. I have to laugh. So try to just enjoy it.
Some of these science/nature based movies require you to temporarily lower your IQ for the duration of the movies. Forensic movies and shows require this of me.

I love disaster movies, as David said Wonderful Crappie Flick. Be prepared for mega earthquakes, super cyclones, apocalyptic ice age , but be prepared also that the movie itself is a DISASTER.

I don't think that an F-16 would be the correct aircraft to fly into a severe storm. Storm chasers usually use a C-130 or something similar.
So-o-o-o, a deep-sea oil drilling rig hits a magma pocket that heats up the water that heats up the air and causes a "super cyclone" that threatens to wreck California. What a bunch of pseudoscientific alarmist crap!
Tornado lifts car off ground and spins it in the air, but the windscreen wipers are still attached and the grass still on the windscreen and bonnet. This really was a poor done before plot and dreadfully made. Scripting was amateur and the acting was wooden (to be kind). If you don't expect to much it is entertainment, just not good entertainment. As a disaster movie, it's a disaster all of its own. and the acting was very sub-par.😕 Careful though. The audience might die of boredom.

I love these movies …. background noise while I play my little games. We know that someone is going to have super secret new technology someplace to save the day … until it happens, ,cheesy lines and panic will trip us out … I'll see the end and know it is a terrific movie.
