Alright, let’s talk about them Tamil movies, you know? The ones they make down in that India place. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, but I watch ‘em sometimes, and I got things to say.
First off, some of these movies, they’re real long. Like, three hours long! You gotta pack a lunch and a dinner if you wanna sit through the whole thing. But sometimes, that’s okay, ‘cause they got all sorts of stuff in ‘em. You got your fightin’, your singin’, your dancin’, and your cryin’. It’s like a whole life packed into one movie, you see?
Now, some folks, they like them action movies. You know, the ones with all the fightin’ and the explosions. And them Tamil movies, they got plenty of that. The heroes, they fly around like Superman, beatin’ up bad guys left and right. It ain’t always real lookin’, but it’s fun to watch. My grandson, he loves that kinda stuff. He sits there with his mouth wide open, starin’ at the screen. I tell you, kids these days, all they want is action and cars flying here and there.
Then you got your drama movies. Oh, them are somethin’ else. They make you wanna cry, they do. They got stories about families, about love, about losin’ people. Sometimes, they’re so sad, you gotta grab a tissue. But they’re good, you know? They make you think about life and stuff. I always say, a good cry now and then is good for the soul. It gets all them bad feelings out, makes you feel lighter, you know what I mean?
- Fightin’ Movies (Action)
- Cryin’ Movies (Drama)
- Singin’ and Dancin’ Movies (Musicals)
And don’t forget the singin’ and dancin’! Every Tamil movie gotta have some singin’ and dancin’. Sometimes, it’s happy singin’ and dancin’, sometimes it’s sad singin’ and dancin’. But it’s always there. And the costumes! Oh my, them costumes are somethin’ else. All sparkly and colorful. Makes you wanna get up and dance yourself, even if you got two left feet like me.
Now, I ain’t always sure what’s goin’ on in these movies. They talk fast, and sometimes they use words I ain’t never heard before. But that’s okay. You can still get the gist of it, you know? You can tell who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it?
I heard some people say these Tamil movies are “bold” and “hit where it hurts.” Well, I guess that’s true sometimes. They ain’t afraid to show you the bad stuff, the stuff that makes you uncomfortable. But that’s life, ain’t it? Life ain’t always pretty. And these movies, they show you that.
Finding Reviews, that’s important too, If you wanna know if a movie’s good or not, you gotta read the reviews. There’s this thing called the internet, my grandson showed me. You can find all sorts of reviews on there. Some folks, they give the movie a score, like a grade in school. And some folks, they write out their thoughts, tell you what they liked and what they didn’t like. I don’t always understand them big words they use, but I try.
But the best way to know if you like a movie? Watch it yourself! That’s what I say. Don’t listen to them fancy critics. They don’t know nothin’. You go watch the movie, and you decide for yourself if you like it or not. And if you don’t like it, well, then you turn it off and find somethin’ else to watch. Life’s too short to watch bad movies.
So, next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give one of them Tamil movies a try. You might be surprised. You might laugh, you might cry, you might even sing and dance along. And who knows, you might even learn a thing or two about life.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about Tamil movies. They’re long, they’re loud, they’re colorful, and they got a little bit of everything. And sometimes, that’s just what you need.
