Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this movie, “The Den”. I ain’t no fancy movie critic, ya hear? Just a regular person tellin’ it like it is.
So, this gal, Elizabeth, she’s doin’ some kinda project, talkin’ to folks online. You know, like them video chats? Well, she’s usin’ this website called “The Den” to find people to chat with. Sounds harmless enough, right? Wrong!
One day, she’s chattin’ with this young girl, and bam! Somethin’ terrible happens. The girl, she gets…well, she gets killed. Right there on the screen! Lord have mercy! It was awful, just awful. Gory and made my stomach churn. I almost covered my eyes, but I couldn’t look away neither.
- It was real scary, I tell ya.
- Made me think twice about talkin’ to strangers online. You never know who’s on the other end, right?
- And the way it happened, it was just…unnervin’. That’s the word, unnervin’.
Now, the police, they didn’t believe her at first. Thought it was some kinda prank. Kids these days, always up to somethin’. But Elizabeth, she knew somethin’ was wrong. Real wrong. So, she starts diggin’, tryin’ to figure out what happened.
And let me tell you, things get even crazier. This ain’t just some regular murder mystery. It’s…different. It’s like, the internet itself is haunted or somethin’. Creepy stuff, I’m tellin’ ya. This movie, it really gets under your skin. Makes you think about all the bad stuff that can happen online.
The whole movie, it’s like you’re watchin’ it through Elizabeth’s computer screen. They call it “found footage,” I think. Makes it feel real, you know? Like you’re right there with her, seein’ everything she’s seein’. It’s clever, I gotta give ‘em that. Not like them other movies where the camera shakes all over the place and you can’t see nothin’. This one, it’s clear, even when things get… messy.
And it ain’t too long neither. Only about 81 minutes. I like that. Don’t got time for them long, drawn-out movies. This one gets right to the point. Keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Some folks, they might say it’s too short, but I think it’s just right.
Now, I ain’t gonna spoil the endin’ for ya. You gotta see it for yourself. But I will say this: it ain’t pretty. It’s scary, it’s violent, and it’ll make you think twice about who you’re talkin’ to online. It ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
Some folks say it’s one of the best horror movies out there, especially for this “found footage” thing. I dunno about all that, but it was certainly better than most of that junk they show on TV these days. It’s smart, it’s scary, and it’s somethin’ you won’t forget anytime soon. If you like scary movies, and you ain’t afraid of a little gore, then you should definitely check out “The Den.” Just don’t blame me if you have nightmares after!
Overall, I’d say it’s a good movie. Not perfect, mind you, but definitely worth a watch. Just make sure you lock your doors and windows first. And maybe turn off your webcam. You never know who’s watchin’.

And one last thing, it came out a while back, in 2014 I think. But it still holds up, you know? Scary is scary, no matter when it was made.
