Alright, let’s talk about this Kamala Harris and Netflix thing. I heard folks chatterin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, you know? Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just say it like it is.
So, this Netflix, the thing where you watch all them shows and movies? Yeah, that one. Apparently, some people are sayin’ they gave a whole heap of money to Kamala Harris, you know, for her campaign and such. Big money, they say. Like, millions of dollars. Millions! Can you believe that? That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life, I tell ya.
Now, some of them stories goin’ around, they ain’t true. Folks on the internet, they like to stir up trouble, you know? They say Netflix’s stock went down, like, way down, after they gave the money. But that ain’t the whole story, see? It’s more complicated than that. Stocks go up, stocks go down, that’s just how it is, like the weather, sometimes good, sometimes bad.
But, there’s this fella, Reed Hastings, he’s the big boss at Netflix, the one who started it all. He did give some money, a lot of money, actually. Seven million dollars, they say. That’s a whole lot of corn, ain’t it? He gave it to some group that’s supportin’ Kamala Harris. So, the money part, that’s true, at least some of it is.

Now, I don’t know much about politics, and I don’t rightly care for it neither. All them politicians, they make promises they can’t keep. But I do know money talks. And when someone gives that much money, you gotta wonder what they want in return. Maybe they just like Kamala Harris, think she’d be good for the country. Maybe. Or maybe they want somethin’ else, you know, favors down the line. Who knows? It’s all a big ol’ mystery to me.
I heard folks sayin’ it ain’t right, this company givin’ all that money. They say it’s like buyin’ influence, you know? Like they’re tryin’ to get somethin’ special, somethin’ the rest of us don’t get. And maybe they’re right. It does seem a bit fishy, don’t it? All that money changin’ hands, it just doesn’t sit right with me.
But then again, maybe it’s just how things work in the big city. Maybe that’s how them rich folks do things. I don’t know. I’m just a simple person, tryin’ to make sense of it all. It’s hard to keep up with all the news and the gossip. One day they say one thing, the next day they say another.
Anyway, what I’m tryin’ to say is, it’s complicated. This Netflix givin’ money to Kamala Harris, it ain’t as simple as some folks make it out to be. There’s truth to it, and there’s lies, and there’s a whole lot of in-between. And at the end of the day, I reckon it’s up to each of us to decide what we believe.
And as for me, well, I’m just gonna keep on livin’ my life, tendin’ to my garden, and tryin’ not to worry too much about all them big city shenanigans. Life’s too short to fret over things you can’t control, ain’t it? Just gotta keep your head down and keep on keepin’ on, that’s what I say.
