Alright, so you wanna know about them new found footage movies from 2023, huh? Well, I ain’t no fancy movie expert, but I watched a few, and I can tell ya what I think. Don’t expect no big words or nothin’, just plain talk, ya hear?

First off, let’s talk about this “Late Night with the Devil.” Now that one was a hoot! It’s about this fella, Jack Delroy, he’s got this talk show, like them late-night shows on TV, but this one’s from back in the 70s. Real old-timey, you know? So, for Halloween, he decides to do a show all about spooky stuff, like ghosts and devils and whatnot. And wouldn’t ya know it, things go plumb crazy!

It’s all filmed like it’s really happening, you know, like somebody just holdin’ a camera and recordin’ everything. That’s what they call “found footage,” I guess. Anyway, it’s spooky and kinda funny at the same time. You see all these weird things happenin’ on the show, and you’re just waitin’ for somethin’ real bad to go down. And let me tell ya, it does! It ain’t the goriest thing I ever seen, but it gets under your skin, you know?

  • It makes you think, what if this stuff was real?
  • Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
  • Good for a spooky night in.

Now, I heard tell there’s a bunch of other found footage movies from 2023, but I ain’t seen ’em all. They say there’s one called “The Outwaters” that was goin’ around at them film festivals. Don’t know nothin’ about that one, but folks seem to be talkin’ about it. Maybe it’s good, maybe it ain’t. Who knows?

Then there’s all them movies you can watch at home, on that “Netflix” thing and them other whatchamacallits. They got all sorts of movies, some new, some old. Heard they got some big ones this year, like that Spider-Man movie and that Little Mermaid one, but them ain’t found footage, so we ain’t talkin’ about them. They say there’s lots of good ones, though, so if you got nothin’ better to do, you could watch them.

I remember when I was a young’un, they didn’t have no fancy found footage. If you wanted scary, you just listened to old wives’ tales around a campfire. But times change, I guess. Now they got all these cameras and computers and whatnot, makin’ movies look all real and scary.

Some folks say the first found footage movie was this thing called “Cannibal Holocaust” from way back when. Heard it was real nasty, with folks killin’ animals and all. I ain’t never seen it, and I don’t reckon I want to. Sounds too awful for my taste. I like a good scare, but I don’t need to see no real animals gettin’ hurt.

There’s been a bunch of other found footage movies over the years, too. Some good, some bad. They say there’s these “REC” movies, real scary stuff from Spain, I think. And “Grave Encounters,” that one’s about folks lookin’ for ghosts in a crazy house. Then there’s “Hell House LLC,” about a haunted house, and “The Taking of Deborah Logan,” about some old lady who gets possessed. And don’t forget that “V/H/S” series, all them short spooky stories. There’s also “Host,” which they filmed during the pandemic, all on computers, kinda like what we are doing now, you seein’ me, but they are seein’ monsters. “The Visit,” “Area 51,” and “The Last Exorcism” are some other ones folks talk about. See, there’s a whole lot of ‘em out there.

So, yeah, that’s the lowdown on them 2023 found footage movies, as far as I know. If you want a good scare, go watch “Late Night with the Devil.” It ain’t gonna change your life or nothin’, but it’ll give you a good spooky time. And if you find any other good ones, let me know, ya hear? I’m always up for a good scare, long as it ain’t too real.

Oh, and one last thing. I saw somethin’ online, someone talkin’ ’bout a movie called “#Blue_Whale.” Said it was about some schoolgirl. Don’t know if it’s found footage or not, but it sounded kinda sad. Maybe I’ll check it out sometime, if I ain’t too busy, ya know?

Anyway, that’s all I got for ya. Go watch some movies and have a good time. Just don’t blame me if ya get too scared to sleep with the lights off!
