Alright, so y’all been talkin’ ’bout this Inside Out 2 movie, right? My grandkids, they dragged me to see it, and lemme tell ya, it was somethin’ else. Didn’t understand half of it at first, all them colors and voices in that girl Riley’s head. But then, it kinda clicked, ya know?

This movie, it’s all about them feelings inside us. Like, little people runnin’ around makin’ us happy or sad or scared. Reminded me of when little Timmy stole a cookie from the jar – his face went red as a beet, and he looked guilty as sin. That’s kinda like what happened to Riley in the movie, but with more… bells and whistles, I guess.

  • First off, they got this Joy character. She’s all sunshine and rainbows, wants everything to be happy all the time. Kinda like me when I bake a good pie, ya know? Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
  • Then there’s Sadness. Poor thing, always mopin’ around. But sometimes, ya gotta be sad, right? Like when my old dog passed, I cried for days. It’s natural.
  • And Anger! Oh boy, that little red fella’s a firecracker. He’s like when the tractor breaks down in the middle of the field and I gotta walk all the way back to the house. Makes my blood boil, it does.
  • Fear, he’s always worryin’. Reminds me of my daughter when she was little, afraid of the dark. We had to keep a nightlight on for years.
  • And then, in this new movie, they got all these new feelings. Anxiety, that’s a big one. She’s like a little motor, always runnin’ and frettin’. Made me think of all the times I worried ’bout the crops failin’ or the bills pilin’ up. It ain’t good for ya, that worryin’.

So, this Anxiety, she takes over, kinda like weeds takin’ over a garden. Riley starts changin’, not herself anymore. And that’s where the movie gets interestin’. It shows how important it is to handle your feelin’s, not let them run the show. Ya gotta find a balance, ya know? Like, you can be happy, but sometimes you gotta be sad or angry or even scared. It’s all part of bein’ human.

Now, some folks are sayin’ this movie is good for Christians. I ain’t no preacher, but I can see why. The Bible talks about not lettin’ worry get the best of ya. And this movie, it kinda shows that too. It shows that when you let one feelin’ take over, it can mess things up. You gotta trust somethin’ bigger than yourself, ya know? Like trustin’ God to get you through the tough times. When Anxiety takes the wheel in Riley’s head, things go sideways. But when she learns to work with all her feelings and not just be driven by one, she finds her way back.

The movie, it ain’t preachy or nothin’. It’s just a story ‘bout growin’ up and figurin’ out who you are. And that’s somethin’ everyone can relate to, Christian or not. It reminds you that it’s okay to feel all sorts of things, that feelings are complicated. But you ain’t gotta let ‘em control you. You gotta learn to understand ‘em and work with ‘em. Like, when Riley felt embarrassed, instead of letting Anxiety take over, she found a way to deal with it, and she came out stronger.

They say this movie is a sequel, but I didn’t see the first one. Didn’t need to, really. This one, it stood on its own two feet. It made me think about my own feelin’s, how I handle ’em. And that’s a good thing, I reckon. It ain’t just for kids, this movie. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt happy or sad or scared or anything in between.

Overall, I’d say Inside Out 2 is a good movie. It’s got a good message, somethin’ about findin’ yourself and dealin’ with your feelin’s. And it’s got enough laughs and tears to keep ya entertained. My grandkids, they loved it. And me, well, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It’s a good one for the whole family, somethin’ you can talk about after it’s over.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a movie that’s more than just explosions and car chases, give this Inside Out 2 a try. It might just surprise ya. It ain’t just some cartoon, it’s got heart, it does. And that’s somethin’ you don’t see much these days.
