Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this “Always Watching” movie. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, just a regular person tellin’ ya what I saw.
So, this here movie, “Always Watching”, it’s about some folks, a news crew, I think. They’re diggin’ around, lookin’ for a story, you know, like they do. And what do they find? A bunch of tapes! Yep, old video tapes, the kind you used to stick in them VCR things. Remember them? Anyways, these tapes, they got some scary stuff on ’em.
- First off, there’s this family. Seemed normal enough at first, but then things start gettin’ weird.
- And there’s this fella, or somethin’, you don’t really see his face. Just a dark suit, and he’s always there, in the background, creepin’ folks out.
This dark suit fella, he’s like a bad penny, always turnin’ up. He ain’t doin’ nothin’ much, mostly just standin’ there, but it’s enough to make your skin crawl. He’s watchin’ the family, and the family, they start losin’ it. Goin’ crazy, like. Yellin’, screamin’, the whole shebang. It ain’t pretty, let me tell ya.
The news crew, they’re watchin’ these tapes, and they’re gettin’ scared too. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s like watchin’ someone else’s nightmare unfold. And the thing is, it all feels real, ya know? Like it could happen to anyone. That’s what makes it spooky, I guess. Not a lot of blood and guts, but it gets under your skin.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, I didn’t like it right off the bat. Somethin’ about it just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was the way they filmed it, all shaky and jumpy, like someone holdin’ the camera who don’t know what they’re doin’. Or maybe it was the story itself, kinda slow and draggy at times. But I stuck with it, and I gotta say, it did get better. Once things started happenin’, it got pretty darn interestin’.
The actors, well, they did alright, I guess. Nobody really stood out, but nobody was terrible neither. They just seemed like regular folks, which I guess is the point. You know, they ain’t superheroes or nothin’, just people caught up in somethin’ they don’t understand. And that dark suit fella? Creepy as all get out, even though you don’t see his face. Sometimes, what you don’t see is scarier than what you do, ya know?
So, would I recommend this movie? Well, it depends. If you like them spooky movies, the ones that make you think and give you the chills, then yeah, you might like it. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ with lots of action and blood, this ain’t it. It’s more of a slow burn, a creepy crawly kind of movie. And that found footage style, it ain’t for everyone. Makes you feel like you’re right there with ’em, which can be good or bad, dependin’ on how you look at it.
Overall, I’d say “Always Watching” is a decent enough horror flick. It ain’t the best I ever seen, but it ain’t the worst neither. It’s got some good scares, a creepy atmosphere, and a story that keeps you guessin’. Just don’t expect too much, and you might be pleasantly surprised. Or maybe not. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just tellin’ ya what I think.
And one more thing, that dark suit fella? He gives me the heebie-jeebies. I tell ya, if I saw someone like that standin’ outside my window, I’d be callin’ the sheriff faster than you can say “boo!”
But hey, that’s just me. You go watch it yourself and see what you think. Just don’t blame me if you have nightmares!
