Well, let me tell ya, these here horror movie magnets, they’re somethin’ else. I ain’t never seen such things. Kids these days, they like all sorts of weird stuff.
My grandbaby, she’s got this icebox, you know, the thing you keep your food cold in? And she’s stickin’ all these scary pictures on it. Pictures of monsters and ghosts and such. Gave me a fright, I tell ya. First time I saw it, near jumped outta my skin.
Now, they got all kinds of these magnets, you see. Some are funny, like them meme magnets. My grandbaby showed me one with a goose on it, actin’ all silly. Kids, I swear. Then there’s those anime magnets, with them big-eyed characters. Don’t get that neither, but she likes ’em, so what can ya do?
- Scary Movie Magnets: These are the ones that give me the heebie-jeebies. Bloody faces, creepy crawlies, all that jazz. Not for the faint of heart, lemme tell ya.
- Funny Magnets: These are kinda cute, I guess. Got some sayin’s on ’em, some pictures of animals doin’ funny things. At least they make ya chuckle a bit.
- Decorative Magnets: These are just pretty things, you know? Flowers, shapes, shiny stuff. My grandbaby got some with sparkly stars, real pretty.
You can get these magnets all over the place, seems like. They got ’em online, in stores, everywhere you look. My grandbaby, she gets ’em from this “Zazzle” place, she says. They got all sorts of personalized magnets, you can even put your own picture on ’em. Imagine that! Your face stuck on the icebox.
And these ain’t just for iceboxes, mind you. Kids put ’em on their lockers at school, on their cars, anywhere they can stick ’em. It’s like a way to show off what they like, I reckon. Like, “Hey, look at me, I like scary movies!” Or “Hey, look at me, I like silly geese!” Kids.
Some of these magnets are real strong, too. Stick on good and tight. You gotta yank ’em to get ’em off. Others, they’re kinda flimsy, fall off if you breathe on ’em wrong. Guess it just depends on what you pay for, huh?
Now, these horror movie magnets, they ain’t my cup of tea, that’s for sure. But the kids, they love ’em. And I guess that’s all that matters, right? Makes ’em happy. Though I still say, puttin’ a monster on your icebox is just askin’ for trouble. Might scare the food right outta there!
And they got all sorts of prices too. Some are cheap, a few pennies maybe. Some, though, they cost a pretty penny. Especially them custom magnets, the ones you get to design yourself. But hey, if it makes ya happy, I guess it’s worth it. Just don’t spend all your money on ’em, ya hear?
You can even get die-cut magnets, shaped like whatever you want. Bats, ghosts, pumpkins for Halloween. My grandbaby got a whole bunch of them, stuck ’em all over the kitchen. Looks like a haunted house in there sometimes, I swear. But she loves it, so I just smile and shake my head. Kids.
So, yeah, these horror movie magnets and all their friends, they’re a whole thing now. Didn’t have nothin’ like that when I was young. We had pictures, sure, but they didn’t stick to nothin’. Just sat there in a frame. These newfangled things, they stick to everything! Makes ya wonder what they’ll come up with next.
But hey, if it brings a little joy to folks, I ain’t complainin’. Even if it does scare me half to death sometimes. Just gotta remember to close my eyes when I go for the milk, so I don’t see them monsters starin’ back at me. And hope they don’t come alive in the night, that’s all.
These magnets, they’re from everywhere, too. My grandbaby got some from some artists, she says. People just making magnets, I guess? Weird job if you ask me. But she likes ’em and they ship for free if you spend enough, she told me. Kids know everything about sales now-a-days.
And they’re vibrant colors too, not dull like old photos. Bright reds and greens and yellows. Real eye-catching, if you like that sort of thing. Personally, I prefer a nice soft blue, but what do I know? I’m just an old lady.
So that’s the story on these horror movie magnets, as far as I can tell ya. Kids love ’em, they’re everywhere, and they come in all shapes and sizes and prices. If you’re lookin’ to spice up your icebox, or your locker, or even your car, I guess these are the way to go. Just don’t blame me if they give ya nightmares.
