34. Love these type of movies…as it brings me closer to my late Father who was a Aircraft Engineer for over 20 yrs! He did say dont fly after 1977 as the Engineers kmew what was coming!

35. Excellent continuity. When he stewardess is at the door waiting to get the guy off the ladder truck she is wearing a jacket. Then whilst helping him on board shes took the jacket off. . Closes the door jacket on next shot its off again. . . … and the special effects. Wow, just wow. I hope it was nominated for an oscar.

40. What this movie lacked was a good technical person who was also a pilot. No reason given for why the flaps and wheels did not work. For landing without fuel check out the Gimli Flyer. This was an Air Canada plane which ran out of fuel approx. 80mls from Winnipeg and was able to dead stick into Gimli airport. The use of stick and throttle was completely wrong, why would you want to accelerate the plane diving.

41. Badly researched plane CAN be flown without auto pilot and without computer and manual landing is very common and sometimes prefered which makes the whole storyline redundant

42. The guy in the white jacket and has a earing …wasnt he in the movie with a very young Drew Barrymore….if so this movie is really old 😮and the pilot was in the series 30 something
