Alright, let’s talk about this Alone Yet Not Alone movie, you know? I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, just a regular person tellin’ you what I think.
So, this movie, it’s about, well, it’s about folks back in the old days, like, way back when. Seventeen-hundreds, they say. Hard times, real hard. This family, they come from Germany, I think, to America. And things ain’t easy, no sir. They got this girl, Barbara, and she’s the main one, I guess.
The movie, it shows you how tough it was. People fightin’ just to stay alive. Survival, that’s what they call it. And it ain’t pretty. It’s scary, you know? Like, you’re always lookin’ over your shoulder, wonderin’ what’s gonna happen next. This fella, John Hyams, he made it real tense, like you’re right there with them.
- It’s got this scary part, like a thriller, they say.
- But it’s also about somethin’ else, somethin’ deeper.
Now, some folks, they say this movie is all about God and faith. And yeah, I guess it is. This Barbara girl, she believes, real strong. Even when things are bad, real bad, she holds onto her faith. And the movie, it shows you that. It tells you that dyin’ ain’t the worst thing. The worst thing is bein’ away from God, they say.
But listen, it ain’t all preachy and stuff. It’s a story, you know? A story about a girl and her family, and how they make it through. And it’s a good story, even if you ain’t all that religious. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, wonderin’ what’s gonna happen to ’em. Will they make it? Will they be okay? That’s what you keep askin’ yourself.
Some people, they call it campy. I don’t know what that means, but I guess they mean it’s a little bit…extra? Like, maybe they overdo it a little sometimes. But hey, it’s a movie, right? It’s supposed to be entertainin’. And this movie, it sure is entertainin’.
I read somewhere, some fella said it was a “surprisingly good movie” about the dangers back then. And I gotta agree. It ain’t perfect, mind you. But it’s good. It’s honest. It tells you a story, and it makes you feel somethin’. And that’s more than you can say for a lot of movies these days, I tell ya.
This Alone Yet Not Alone thing, it ain’t for everyone, I reckon. Some folks, they might not like the God stuff. Some folks, they might not like the scary parts. But if you like a good story, a story about folks fightin’ to survive, and holdin’ onto their faith, well, then you might just like this movie. It’s about courage too, seein’ as how they faced all them hardships. And it shows you how strong people can be, even when they’re scared and alone.
And another thing, the music, they call it the score I think, well, it’s pretty good too. Helps make the movie even more, you know, excitin’ and all. So yeah, that’s my take on it. Go see it if you want, don’t see it if you don’t. But don’t say I didn’t tell ya it was worth a watch.
In short, this movie shows you a tough time in history, a family’s struggles, and how faith helps them get through. It’s a little scary, a little preachy, but mostly, it’s just a good, old-fashioned story. And that ain’t so bad, is it?
