Alright, so you wanna watch your shows on that there Apple CarPlay thingy, huh? Like that…Net-flicks, the kids are always yappin’ about. Well, listen up, ‘cause it ain’t as simple as flickin’ a switch, but it ain’t rocket science neither. I figured it out, and if this old woman can do it, so can you.
First things first, make sure your phone, that iPhone thingamajig, is up-to-date. You know, the latest version and all that jazz. Gotta keep it updated, like changin’ the oil in your tractor. If you don’t, things just ain’t gonna work right, plain and simple.
- Step one: Phone Update. Go to settings, find that update button, and tap it. Let it do its thing. Might take a bit, so be patient.
- Step two: Gotta get yourself one of them mirroring apps. Yeah, you heard me right, mirroring. Like lookin’ in a mirror, but it shows your phone on the car screen. There’s a bunch of ‘em in that app store. Just search for “screen mirroring” and pick one that looks decent. Read the reviews, mind you, don’t just grab the first one you see.
- Step three: Now, plug your phone into your car. You know, with that USB cable. Make sure it’s connected good and tight. Then fire up that there CarPlay on your car screen.
Okay, now comes the tricky part, but don’t you fret. Open up that mirroring app you downloaded. It’ll probably have some instructions, so follow ‘em. Basically, you gotta give it permission to show your phone screen on the car screen. Might have to tap a few buttons, but it ain’t too hard. Just read what it says, and you’ll be fine.
Once you got that mirroring thing working, you’re practically home free. Now just open up your Net-flicks app, just like you would on your phone. Pick your show, and boom! There it is, on your car screen. Big as life, or at least as big as that there car screen gets.
Now, a word to the wise. Don’t go watchin’ movies while you’re drivin’. That ain’t safe, and you’ll end up in a ditch. Use this for when you’re parked, waiting for the kids to get out of school, or on a long road trip and need a break. Common sense, people, common sense.
And another thing, some of them mirroring apps might cost a few dollars. Ain’t nothin’ free in this world, I tell ya. But if you want to watch your shows on that there big screen in your car, it’s worth it. Just think of it as the price of a cup of coffee, or maybe a bag of them fancy chips the kids like.
So there you have it. Not too hard, was it? Now you can enjoy all them shows and movies on your car screen, just like the youngsters do. And don’t let anyone tell you that you’re too old for this tech stuff. If I can figure it out, anyone can. Just gotta be willin’ to try new things, and maybe ask for a little help now and then.
One last thing, if things don’t work right the first time, don’t give up. Sometimes these gadgets are finicky. Try restarting your phone, or unplugging and plugging the cable back in. And if you’re really stuck, ask one of them young’uns for help. They seem to know everything about this stuff.
Now go on, get to watchin’ your shows. You deserve a little entertainment, especially after all that hard work you do. And remember, always keep your eyes on the road when you’re driving. Safety first, folks, safety first.
And that’s all there is to it, plain and simple. Go on now, git!
