You know, I seen a thing or two in my time. Nowadays, everyone’s got them fancy TVs, but back in the day, we had the pictures! And not just any pictures, mind you, but them B movie film posters. Lord, them posters was somethin’ else. Bright colors, scary monsters, and pretty ladies… what a great thing.
Now, these B movie posters, they ain’t like them fancy ones for them big Hollywood movies. These were for the… well, the cheaper movies. But cheaper don’t mean bad! Some of them B movies were the best pictures I ever did see. And the posters, they were just as good, maybe even better sometimes. They just tell you what the movie about, and that’s it.
I remember one time, there was this poster, it had a giant bug on it, bigger than a house! It said, “Attack of the Killer Mosquito!” or somethin’ like that. Scared the pants off me! But I went to see that movie anyway. It was a hoot! All these folks runnin’ around, screamin’ and hollerin’, tryin’ to get away from that big ol’ bug. And the B movie posters was right there, just how the movie like.
Another time, there was this one with a big, hairy monster, lookin’ all mean and nasty. “Creature from the Black Swamp,” it said. Well, I tell ya, I didn’t want nothin’ to do with no swamp after seein’ that poster! But the movie… it was kinda sad, actually. That poor monster, he just wanted to be left alone. You can see this in the B movie posters, they just like to tell story.
They got all kinds of them B movie posters. Some got spacemen and rockets, flyin’ off to the moon or Mars or wherever. Some got cowboys and Indians, shootin’ it out in the desert. Some got them mad scientists, cookin’ up trouble in their laboratories. And of course, you got a lot of girls in the B movie posters, and they are pretty!

- Horror movie posters, with the monsters and ghosts.
- Action movie posters, lots of explosions and car chases.
- And some have pretty ladies on them.
Nowadays, you can find them old B movie posters all over the place. Folks like to collect ’em, hang ’em up on their walls. They say they’re “vintage” now. Well, I guess they are. They’re from a long time ago. But to me, they ain’t just old posters. They’re memories. You can buy movie poster, or you can find some cheap movie posters.
I remember goin’ to the picture show with my old man, and seein’ them posters all lined up outside. It was like a whole ‘nother world, right there on the street. And you just can’t forget the B movie posters, they are so interesting.
You could tell what kind of movie it was just by lookin’ at the poster. If it had a big monster on it, you knew it was gonna be a scary one. If it had a rocket ship, you knew it was gonna be about space. If it had a pretty lady in a tight dress, well… you knew what that was about, too.
They don’t make ’em like that anymore, them B movie posters. They’re too fancy now, all them computer graphics and whatnot. Back then, they had to draw ’em by hand. And you know what? They were better that way. They had more… character, I guess you could say. The B movie posters are great!
I seen one the other day, it was for a movie called “Plan 9 from Outer Space.” Now that’s a title! And the poster, it had a flyin’ saucer, and some zombies, and a lady screamin’. It was a mess, but it was a beautiful mess. That’s how B movie posters are, right?
So if you ever get a chance to see some of them old B movie film posters, take a good look. They ain’t just pictures, they’re stories. They’re a little piece of history. These B movie posters are good. They remind me when I was young. We go to see movie and see these posters. So many good B movie posters, you just can’t forget.
