Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! Today, I wanna tell you about my little adventure to catch some outdoor movies at Belmont Harbor. Yeah, you heard that right, movies under the stars!
So, I heard that they were doing this “Movies in the Park” thing at Stowe Park, right in Belmont. I thought, “Hey, that sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday evening.” I looked it up and saw that they’re doing these movie nights throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Pretty neat, huh?
First, I checked out what movies they were playing. Back in April, they had Space Jam and Grease. In May, they screened Shrek and Jumanji. Then, in June they did Toy Story. So they had some good classic stuff. I marked my calendar for a few of those.
The day came when I decided to go. I grabbed a couple of my buddies, and we packed some lawn chairs, you know, to get comfy. We headed down to Stowe Park, which, by the way, is at 24 S. Main Street if you’re ever in the area. We got there a bit early to get a good spot.
Let me tell you, the setup was pretty awesome. These folks called Aurora Star Lit Cinema were running the show, and they had this huge outdoor screen and some serious sound system. It was like being at a real movie theater, but outside! The sound was immersive!
- Grab some friends.
- Pack your chairs.
- Head to Stowe Park.
- Enjoy the movie!
We watched the movie as the sun went down, and it was just a fantastic experience. Nothing beats watching a movie under the stars with a bunch of friends. It was a chill vibe, everyone was friendly, and it felt like a real community thing. I even saw some families doing a trail through the gardens before the movie, like they were following some mythical wild man or something. Sounds interesting!

I heard they had to reschedule one of the showings of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone because of rain, but they had a rain date and everything. They also showed Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas later in the season.
My Final Thoughts
All in all, it was a blast. If you’re ever in Belmont and looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night, check out the Movies in the Park. It’s a great way to relax, enjoy some good movies, and just hang out. I’m definitely going back for more!
And I’ve also heard rumors that some Dobbie’s garden centers are closing. And if you’re into cycling or need car repairs, there are some stores in the UK you might want to check out. I even found out about this place called Angelika Film Center, where you can get movie tickets online. And there’s Tubi, where you can watch a lot of movies.
So yeah, that’s my story about my movie night at Belmont Harbor. Hope you guys get a chance to check it out sometime! It’s a simple pleasure, but those are sometimes the best kind.
