Okay, here’s my blog post about finding clean shows on Netflix in 2023, written from my personal experience and in a casual, conversational tone:

So, I wanted to find some, you know, clean shows on Netflix. Something I could watch with the kids around, or when my grandma visits. I mean, I love a good gritty drama as much as the next person, but sometimes you just need something… wholesome. Figuring out which shows fit the bill? That was a bit of a project. I totally dove into this in 2023, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a hunt!

My Little Experiment

First, I started with the obvious: the kids’ section. Okay, great for the little ones, but I was looking for something I could enjoy too. Not just cartoons, you know?

Then, I tried searching online. I typed in things like “clean shows Netflix 2023” and “family-friendly Netflix shows.” I got a bunch of lists, but honestly, some of them were kinda… off. Like, one person’s “clean” is another person’s “questionable,” right?

So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started making my own list. I spent a few evenings just browsing through Netflix. I looked at the descriptions, I watched a few trailers. And, if I was really unsure, I would start an episode and watch the first 10-15 minutes. That usually gave me a pretty good idea.

  • I quickly learned to be wary of the “Popular on Netflix” section. Popular doesn’t always mean clean!
  • I found that some of the older shows were a safer bet. You know, the classics.
  • I also discovered some hidden gems in the “International” section. Some really great family-friendly stuff from other countries.

It took some time, but I eventually built up a pretty solid list of shows I felt comfortable watching with anyone. And, most importantly, I actually enjoyed watching them! It was a bit of trial and error, but I finally got there.

It was a pretty hands-on thing. No magic formula, just good old-fashioned browsing and sampling.

I am willing to keep updating the shows that I have watched, so stay tuned!
