Okay, so the other day I was down a rabbit hole, as usual. This time, I was thinking about those crazy exploitation films from back in the day. You know, the ones with the wild titles and even wilder plots? I decided I needed to make a list – the “best” of the best, or maybe the worst of the worst, depending on how you look at it.
First, I opened up my go-to browser. Nothing fancy, just the usual one.
Then, I typed in “best exploitation films” into the search bar. And BAM! A million results. Okay, maybe not a million, but a lot.
I started scrolling. And scrolling. And scrolling. I saw some familiar names, some I’d never heard of. I jotted down the ones that looked particularly interesting, or just plain bonkers, in my trusty notebook. (Yeah, I’m old school like that.)
I clicked around, read a bunch of crazy synopsis, watched some trailers of some films, sometimes i even don’t know what am i wathcing at all.
My Criteria
I figured I needed some ground rules, right? So, here’s what I was looking for:
- Over-the-top plots: The crazier, the better.
- Memorable titles: Something that grabs you.
- That “so bad it’s good” vibe: You know what I mean.
After a few hours, I narrowed it down, It’s tough, I’m telling you! These films are all so wonderfully weird in their own special way.
Finally, I think i have created a list. I’m still not 100% sure I got the absolute best, because, let’s be honest, it’s all subjective. But I think I got a good mix of the classics and some hidden gems that are worth checking out, if you’re into that kind of thing. And honestly, who isn’t?
