Okay, so, I’ve been on this horror movie kick lately, right? But I’m kinda tired of the same old stuff. You know, the big names, the ones everyone’s seen a million times. I wanted something… different. Something that not everyone and their grandma has watched.

So, I started digging. I scoured all the streaming services, read through tons of those “best horror” lists, and asked around in some online forums. It was a real deep dive, let me tell you.

I wanted to make my own list, a real treasure map of those hidden gems. I decided to focus on anything from the 1920s to, like, last year. Basically, anything that felt underseen, or maybe got a cult following but never really broke into the mainstream.

My Little Horror Movie Marathon

After all that research, I ended up with a list of, wait for it, 151 movies! Yeah, I know, it’s a lot. But I watched every single one. Some nights I only watched one, others I binged like four or five.

  • Some were kinda “meh,” not gonna lie.
  • Some were surprisingly good.
  • And then there were a few that just totally blew my mind.

I’ve got everything on this list: found footage, some old-school classics from the ’80s, even some weird stuff that’s totally different from anything else out there in the horror scene today. And some of them are just creepy as heck, no need for cheap jump scares.

And now that it’s October and Halloween time, I figured it was the perfect time to share my list. And of course I don’t want to spoil anything, cause I’m not that kinda guy.

So I whittled it down to just over 60 of the absolute best. These are the ones I think are really worth checking out. I’ve shared them with some friends, and they’ve been having a blast with them.

So yeah, if you’re like me and you’re looking for some fresh horror to sink your teeth into, I got you. My list is solid, and I’m pretty darn proud of it. And I can’t wait to share them with you guys!
