Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s talk about them scary movies, the ones from, what was it, 2011? Yeah, 2011. Them young’uns always talkin’ about what to watch, so I figured I’d chime in. Don’t expect no fancy talk, I just tell it like it is.

First off, there’s this Absentia movie. It’s about this woman, see, and her sister. They find this tunnel, and wouldn’t you know it, folks been disappearin’ left and right. Scary stuff, makes you think twice ’bout goin’ into any ol’ hole in the ground.

Then there’s this The Skin I Live In. Now, this one’s a bit… different. It’s about this doctor, a real smart fella, but he’s got some demons, ya know? Tragedies and such. It’s kinda creepy, the things he does. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.

Let’s see, what else we got? Oh yeah, Attack the Block. Now this one’s got monsters, aliens or somethin’, attackin’ a block of flats. Them young folks gotta fight ’em off. It’s got some laughs, but it’ll make ya jump too. Good for a Friday night, ya know, when you want somethin’ a little wild.

And then there’s You’re Next. This one’s about a family get-together gone wrong. Real wrong. Folks start gettin’ killed, and there’s this girl, she’s tough as nails, fightin’ back. It’s bloody, I tell ya, but it’s kinda fun in a twisted way.

  • Kill List: Now, this one… this one’s dark. It’s about these hitmen, and things get real weird, real fast. It ain’t just about killin’, there’s somethin’ else goin’ on. Gives ya the chills, it does.
  • Red State: This one’s about some crazy religious folks. They ain’t right in the head, I tell ya. It’s violent and disturbing, not for the squeamish.

I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout Take Shelter too. This fella, he starts havin’ these visions, nightmares about the end of the world. He’s buildin’ a shelter, tryin’ to protect his family. It’s more psychological, ya know? Gets in your head.

And then there’s Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. Now this one’s a bit different. It’s supposed to be scary but it’s funny too. These two fellas, Tucker and Dale, they look a bit rough, but they’re good ol’ boys, really. City college kids think they’re dangerous but actually they are harmless. And it’s the college kids who keep getting themselves killed. City folks sure are dumb. It’s kinda silly, but good for a laugh.

Some folks like that I Saw the Devil movie. It’s from 2010, but what’s a year here or there, right? It’s got lots of action, but it’s real mean, real violent. A fella’s chasin’ after the guy who killed his wife, and he does some terrible things. Not for everyone, that’s for sure.

Now, I ain’t seen all these movies myself, mind you. But I hear things, ya know? Folks talk. And these are the ones they keep jabberin’ about when it comes to scary movies from back in 2011 or so. They say some of these are real good, some are just plain crazy, and some are just bad, so bad they’re funny. Like them B-movies. But hey, to each their own, right?

So there ya have it, a whole mess of scary movies from back then. Take your pick, but don’t blame me if ya can’t sleep with the lights off! And remember, it’s all just make-believe, so don’t go gettin’ any funny ideas. Just sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the show. Or don’t. I ain’t your mama.

And if you are looking for some of those “so bad they are good” kinda flicks, go on and find yourself something on that there Tubi. They got all kinds of crazy stuff, stuff that makes ya laugh and scratch your head at the same time. Just don’t expect no fancy acting or nothin’.

Anyway, that’s all I got to say about them scary movies. Hope it helps ya find somethin’ to watch on a dark and stormy night. Or any night, really. Just don’t blame me if you have nightmares!
