Alright, so you wanna know about this movie theater in New Richmond, WI, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t no fancy-schmancy Hollywood place, but it gets the job done. They got movies, and that’s what matters, right?
I ain’t been there myself in a while, my old bones don’t like sittin’ for too long these days. But I hear tell it’s called somethin’ like “New Richmond 6 Theater” or maybe “New Richmond 8”. Heck, they might have even changed the name again, these young folks are always changin’ things. It’s like they can’t sit still for a minute.
Where is this place, you ask? Well, it’s in New Richmond, that much is for sure. If you’re comin’ from out of town, just ask around. Someone’s bound to know. It’s not like New Richmond is some big city where you get lost easy. You know, it’s one of them places where everybody knows everybody else’s business.
Now, about the movies they show… They got all the new ones, I reckon. You know, the ones with all the explosions and superheroes and such. My grandkids, they love that stuff. Me? I prefer a good old-fashioned story, somethin’ with a bit of heart. But hey, to each their own, right?
I heard tell you can find the showtimes online. Just type somethin’ into that Google thingy, and it’ll pop right up. Or you can call ’em on the phone. They still got phones, don’t they? Though, good luck gettin’ a real person on the line these days. It’s all machines and press this button and that button.
- Showtimes: Like I said, check online or give ’em a call.
- Tickets: You gotta buy a ticket, of course. Can’t just walk in and plop yourself down. They probably take cash and cards, these young folks don’t carry cash no more.
- Snacks: They got popcorn and candy and all that stuff. Overpriced, if you ask me. But what movie theater ain’t overpriced? Back in my day, we snuck in our own snacks. Don’t tell nobody I told you that.
Now, some folks say there are other theaters around, places like Hudson 12 or Marcus Oakdale Cinema. But those are a ways out, you gotta drive a bit. If you’re in New Richmond, this New Richmond theater, whatever the number is these days, is the easiest one to get to. Unless they closed it down and didn’t tell nobody, that happens sometimes, you know?
I heard some folks complainin’ that the seats ain’t the most comfortable. And that it can get a bit chilly sometimes. Well, what do you expect? It ain’t the Ritz-Carlton. It’s a movie theater in a small town. You go there to watch a movie, not to sleep in a fancy bed. And if you’re cold, bring a sweater. Simple as that.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a place to watch a movie in New Richmond, this theater is probably your best bet. Don’t expect nothin’ fancy, but expect to see a movie. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Just go and enjoy yourself. And don’t forget to turn off your phone! Nothin’ worse than some young whippersnapper yappin’ on their phone durin’ the movie.
Is it the best movie theater in the world? Probably not. But it’s our movie theater, and that’s good enough for me and most folks around here. It’s a place to go on a Friday night, you know, something to do when you don’t want to sit at home and watch the same old shows on TV. It’s something to talk about with your neighbors, a place to see people you know.
