Alright, let’s talk about them Bollywood movies in Indianapolis, you know, the kind they make over in India. Folks around here, they seem to like ’em a whole bunch.
Now, I ain’t no fancy city gal, but even I know you gotta find where these movies are playin’. Heard tell there’s this place called Cinemark Movies 8, over on Stop 13 Road. They got them Indian movies, the Bollywood ones, and the Telugu and Tamil too, whatever them are. You can find out what time they’re showin’, they got showtimes and all, for today and even for later days. They even got them fancy recliners, makes your behind comfy while you watch, and it says reserved seating. That means you get your own spot, no need to fight for a good seat like at a Sunday picnic.
Then there’s that other place, AMC Indianapolis 17. Big place, they say, seventeen theaters! They got Bollywood movies too, saw one advertised the other day, somethin’ called “Crew” in Hindi. You can even get your tickets online now, ain’t that somethin’? No need to stand in line, just clickity-click and you’re good to go. They’re showing 20 movies, not sure if they’re all them Indian ones though.
- Finding showtimes ain’t too hard neither. There’s this thing called Fandango, they got all the showtimes and movie theaters near you. Just punch in what you’re lookin’ for, and it’ll tell you where to go and when. Handy, real handy. They show all types of movies, though, not just the Indian ones.
- And if you’re lookin’ for a specific kind of Indian movie, like Hindi or Tamil, some places even tell you that. Heard there’s a place on South Meridian Street, number 4325, they got a whole bunch of movies. You could probably call ‘em too, they got a phone number and all. Easy peasy.
Now, why do folks like these Bollywood movies so much? Well, they’re different, that’s for sure. They got them songs and dances, all colorful and lively. Makes you want to get up and shake your hips, even if your old bones ain’t what they used to be. And the stories, they’re somethin’ else too. Lots of drama, lots of romance, sometimes even a little bit of fightin’. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, that’s for sure.
I heard tell that a whole heap of folks in India go to the movies. Millions and millions of them! They call ’em theater-goers. Guess they like watchin’ them movies on a big screen, just like us. It’s different than watchin’ on that little box in your livin’ room, that’s for sure. The picture’s bigger, the sound’s louder, makes you feel like you’re right there in the middle of the action. They use a movie projector, you know, like them old-timey picture shows. But these new ones are fancy, all digital and whatnot.
