Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this movie, “Bullet to the Head”. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, just a regular person who likes a good action flick now and then.

So, this movie, right? It’s got that Sylvester Stallone fella in it. You know, the Rocky guy? Yeah, him. He’s playin’ this fella named Jimmy Bobo, and let me tell ya, that name alone tells ya he ain’t no choir boy. He’s a hitman, see? And he’s got a partner, but things go south real quick for the partner. Kaput! Gone. And Jimmy Bobo, well, he ain’t too happy ’bout that. Not one bit.

So, the whole movie is pretty much about Jimmy Bobo gettin’ revenge. He’s teamin’ up with this cop, and that’s kinda funny ’cause you got a criminal and a cop workin’ together. Like them buddy cop movies, you know? But this ain’t no comedy, mind you. It’s got plenty of shootin’ and fightin’ and all that action stuff. Folks gettin’ punched, folks gettin’ shot… you get the picture. It’s a real rough and tumble kinda movie.

  • Lots of action, that’s for sure.
  • Stallone, he’s still got it, even though he’s gettin’ up there in years.
  • The story? Well, it ain’t gonna win no awards, but it’s good enough for a night at the movies.

They filmed this thing down in New Orleans, I heard. Pretty city, that New Orleans. But in this movie, they ain’t showin’ off the pretty parts, let me tell ya. They’re showin’ the back alleys and the seedy joints, where the bad guys hang out. And Jimmy Bobo, he fits right in.

Now, some folks might say the story is kinda thin. And yeah, maybe it is. But honestly, I didn’t go into this movie expectin’ some deep thinkin’ piece. I wanted action, and that’s what I got. Bam! Pow! Whack! That’s the kinda movie this is. It’s like one of them comic books come to life, only with more blood and swearin’. They even say it’s from some French somethin’ or other… a graphic novel, I think they called it.

Stallone, he’s playin’ this Jimmy Bobo character like he’s been playin’ tough guys his whole life. And I guess he has, hasn’t he? He’s good at it, that’s for sure. He growls and he squints and he shoots people. And you know what? It works. You believe he’s this tough-as-nails hitman out for revenge. Even though he’s, what, 66 years old when they made this thing? He’s still kickin’ butt like a young fella.

The cop he teams up with, he’s alright too. They kinda bicker and argue, like them buddy cops always do. But deep down, you know they got each other’s backs. ‘Cause that’s how these movies work, don’t they? Gotta have that uneasy alliance thing goin’ on. Makes it more interestin’, I guess.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a movie that’s gonna make you think real hard, this ain’t it. But if you want a movie that’s gonna keep you entertained for a couple of hours, with lots of action and explosions and Stallone bein’ Stallone, then “Bullet to the Head” might just be your cup of tea. It’s the kinda movie you watch with a big bucket of popcorn and a soda, you know? Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Don’t expect too much, and you won’t be disappointed. It ain’t Shakespeare, but it ain’t tryin’ to be. It’s just a good ol’ fashioned action movie, and sometimes, that’s all you need.

I heard someone say this movie was Stallone’s comeback after 10 years not being in theaters. I don’t really know about all that. All I know is, he was good, the movie was exciting, and that’s good enough for me.

In the end, Jimmy Bobo gets his revenge, like you knew he would. And the bad guys get what’s comin’ to ’em. And that’s the way it should be, right? Justice, even if it’s the kind of justice that comes with a whole lot of bullets. It’s perfect for a beer and popcorn night, if you ask me.
