Well, let me tell you, I been hearin’ folks talkin’ ’bout these Curious Caterer movies. Sounds like a real hoot, don’t it? I got curious, just like that caterer lady, so I did some diggin’. Just how many of these things are there, anyway?
Now, I ain’t no fancy movie critic, but I do like a good mystery. And from what I gather, this Curious Caterer, she’s always findin’ herself in some kind of trouble. Reminds me of my neighbor Mildred, always stickin’ her nose where it don’t belong, that one. But she does have a good time!
First one I heard of was somethin’ about chocolate. Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate, they called it. Chocolate! Who could resist? That Goldy, she’s a single mom, too. Just like my niece, bless her heart. Workin’ hard, raisin’ them kids, and solvin’ mysteries on the side. Busy gal!
Then there’s more. I heard it from a good friend, there is one about some foiled plans. Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans. Now that sounds interestin’. I reckon even the best-laid plans can go sideways. Happens to me all the time. Just last week, I was gonna bake a pie, but I ran outta sugar. Foiled plans, indeed!
And now they’re makin’ another one! Curious Caterer: Drumstick Drama, they are callin’ this new one. What in tarnation is a drumstick drama? Sounds like somethin’ to do with chickens, maybe? I love a good fried chicken. It is said to be on the TV this fall, 2024. My old TV is ready to watch it!
So, I did some more lookin’, and it seems there’s a whole bunch of these Curious Caterer movies. They got that Goldy lady and that detective fella, Tom, solvin’ all sorts of cases. They make a good team, like two peas in a pod.
- Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate – This is where it all started, I reckon. Chocolate and murder, what a mix!
- Then they made some more, one after another. I lost track of all the names.
- Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans – Must be about some plans that didn’t go right.
- And now, Curious Caterer: Drumstick Drama – Comin’ out soon, they say. Fall 2024, mark your calendars!
I asked my granddaughter, she’s real good with that internet thing. She said you can watch these movies on them streamin’ things, like that Netflix and Amazon thingamajig. Sounds complicated to me. I like my old TV just fine.
So, to answer the question, how many Curious Caterer movies are there? Well, there’s at least four that I know of, and probably more comin’. That’s a lot of mysteries! It is a TV series, not big movies. I think it is good for a TV show.
If you like a good mystery, you might wanna check these out. Just be prepared for some drama, and maybe a hankerin’ for chocolate. Or chicken, dependin’ on the movie, I guess. I think I’m gonna watch ’em all, just to see what kind of trouble that Goldy gets herself into next.
It ain’t easy bein’ a caterer, I imagine. All that cookin’ and cleanin’. And then add murder to the mix? Whew! That’s a lot for one woman to handle. But this Goldy, she seems to manage. She’s a tough cookie, that one. And she got a good man with her, the detective. He is handsome.
I reckon they’ll keep makin’ these movies as long as folks keep watchin’ ’em. And why wouldn’t they? It’s good, clean fun. Well, except for the murders, of course. But you know what I mean. There is always someone dying in the movies, that is normal.
So there you have it. The Curious Caterer movies. A whole bunch of ’em, with more on the way. If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give ’em a try. You might just get hooked, like me. I am gonna ask my granddaughter to help me use the Netflix thing. I want to watch from the first one, Dying for Chocolate. Sounds yummy, right?
I hope they will make more and more in the future. I need something to watch after I finish my daily work. I think people all like to watch this kind of show. I will tell my friends to watch it with me.
