Alright, so listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya ’bout this here movie, “Halloween 2” from 2009. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just tell it like it is, ya hear?
So, this movie, right? It starts right where the last one left off. That poor girl, Laurie Strode, she’s a mess. A real basket case, I tell ya. Screamin’ and yellin’ at everyone, even her friends and that head doctor fella. Can’t blame her none, after what she’s been through. That Michael Myers fella, he’s somethin’ else, always chasin’ after her.
Now, she’s livin’ with this Annie Brackett girl and her daddy, the sheriff. That sheriff, he’s a good man, played by that Brad Dourif fella. He’s real nice to Laurie, seems like he understands her. They’re tryin’ to help her get better, but that ain’t easy, no sir.
This movie, it’s got a whole lotta dreams in it. Too many, if you ask me. Seems like every few minutes, Laurie’s havin’ another crazy dream. Some of ’em are scary, some are just plain weird. I guess it’s supposed to show how messed up she is in the head, but it gets a little tiresome, ya know?
- Lots of Screamin’
- Lots of Chasin’
- Lots of Crazy Dreams
Now, they say there’s a director’s cut of this movie, made by that Rob Zombie fella. They say it’s got more story, more Michael Myers. I ain’t seen it myself, but folks say it’s better. More stuff happenin’, I guess.
But listen here, this movie, it ain’t all bad. It’s got some good parts too. The characters, they’re alright. You kinda like ’em, even though some of ’em are a bit dumb. And the killin’, well, it’s pretty creative, I gotta say. Some of them deaths, they’re somethin’ else. Real gruesome, ya know? And the whole movie, it’s got this creepy feel to it. Keeps ya on the edge of your seat, kinda like waitin’ for the other shoe to drop.
There’s this big ol’ twist in the movie, somethin’ about Michael and Laurie. I ain’t gonna spoil it for ya, but I gotta say, it’s kinda dumb. Didn’t make no sense to me. But even with that, it’s still a pretty good movie. Kept me entertained, that’s for sure.
They say Laurie gets hurt real bad in this movie, worse than in the old one from back in the day. That’s why she’s in the hospital most of the time. And speakin’ of the hospital, it’s kinda strange. Seems like nobody’s there, except for Laurie and a few other folks. Kinda spooky, if you think about it.
Now, some folks say this movie is real bloody, way bloodier than the first one. And yeah, it’s got some blood, but it ain’t that bad. The killin’ in the first one, it was more… real, ya know? Took longer, people struggled more. This one, it’s got some quick kills, but that hot tub kill, that one was somethin’ else. Reminded me of the old days, when movies were really somethin’.
And guess what? This movie, it made a lotta money at the box office. People went to see it, even though some of ’em didn’t like it much. Guess that shows ya, people like a good scare, even if it ain’t perfect.
So, there ya have it. My take on “Halloween 2” from 2009. It ain’t a masterpiece, but it’s a good enough movie if you wanna watch somethin’ spooky. Just don’t expect too much, and you might enjoy it. That’s all I gotta say about that.
