Anne Hathaway is teasing the upcoming sequel to The Devil Wears Prada.
The actress took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of herself as her Devil Wears Prada character Andy Sachs, captioning the photo “Andy Sachs 2025.”
In the 2006 film, Hathaway starred alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci as aspiring journalist and recent college journalism graduate Sachs who becomes the personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the unsparing editor-in-chief of Runway fashion magazine.
The film is in production two decades after the original film hit theaters, and is set to shoot in New York and Italy. In addition to Hathaway, Streep, Blunt and Tucci are reprising their roles for the follow-up film. Kenneth Branagh has also joined the cast.
Adrian Grenier, who played Hathaway’s character’s boyfriend, Nate, in the first movie, will not be in the sequel, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
In the sequel, Priestly, still the head of Runway, will have to contend with the headwinds of publishing, with the magazine now in a diminished state. Blunt’s onetime assistant will now be an executive at a luxury brand conglomerate that advertises with Runway.
The Devil Wears Prada grossed a massive $326 million at the worldwide box office and earned Streep an Oscar nomination.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will hit theaters May 1, 2026.
