Well, let me tell ya, these dinosaur movie posters, they’re somethin’ else. Folks seem to really like ’em, whether it’s for themselves or for, ya know, someone they know who just loves movies. I seen a whole bunch of ’em, all different kinds.
Some are just, you know, regular pictures from the movies. Like that one movie, “Dinosaur” from back in 2000. I remember seein’ posters for that one. Had them voices, D.B. Sweeney, Alfre Woodard, and that Ossie Davis, bless his heart. Said it was an original, rolled up, one-sheet poster. Fancy stuff, I guess.
Then there’s them newer ones, like, what was it? “The Good Dinosaur”? Yeah, that one. Seen posters for that too, brand spankin’ new, they said. Double-sided even! Never seen the point of that myself, but folks like what they like. Said it was 27 by 40, whatever that means in real measurements, I don’t know. Big enough to cover half my door, that’s for sure.
- They got all sorts, y’know. Some are real big, like for them billboards, I reckon.
- Others are smaller, for hangin’ in your house, I guess.
- And they got them shiny ones, and them plain ones. It’s a whole world of posters out there, I tell ya.
And talkin’ ‘bout big, that Jurassic Park poster, everyone knows that one. That Steven Spielberg fella, he made a real splash with that one. Scared the pants off half the town, I remember. They say that John Alvin fella, his wife wrote a book about it, The Art of John Alvin, he made that poster. Must’ve been a smart fella. That poster, it’s got that big ol’ dinosaur on it, real scary lookin’. Folks still talk about that movie, and that poster, to this day. It’s a classic, they say.
I seen some posters that are just pictures of the dinosaurs, no people or nothin’. Just big ol’ lizards. And some with the whole cast, smilin’ and carryin’ on. And then there’s them artsy ones, with all them fancy colors and swirls. Can’t make heads or tails of ’em half the time, but some folks like that kinda thing.
And they come in all sizes, too. I heard tell of one poster that was 3511 by 5000 pixels. Don’t even know what a pixel is, sounds like somethin’ the city folk made up. But it was a big one, they said. Probably cost a pretty penny, too. These things ain’t cheap, ya know. Not the good ones, anyway.

They even got custom ones, where you can put your own picture on it, or whatever you want. Imagine that! Your face next to a big ol’ T-Rex. Silly, if you ask me, but to each their own, I always say.
So, whether you want a poster from that Disney movie “Dinosaur”, or somethin’ newer, or even somethin’ scary like that Jurassic Park one, there’s a dinosaur movie poster out there for ya. Just gotta find the one you like. And make sure you got enough wall space, cause some of them are mighty big! And don’t go spendin’ all your money on ‘em, ya hear? Gotta save somethin’ for a rainy day.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about these dinosaur movie posters. Just pictures on paper, mostly, but they seem to make folks happy. And that’s what matters, I reckon.
