Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with “Sex Education” on Netflix lately, like, who hasn’t? And I got super curious about where they filmed all those amazing scenes. You know, the school, Otis’s house, that stunning bridge… I needed to find out!

So, I started digging, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rabbit hole.

First, I googled the basics. Just a simple “Sex Education filming locations.” Boom! Right away, I got some general info about it being shot in Wales, in the Wye Valley area.

I wanted the specifics, so I started refining my searches. I found out that the school, Moordale Secondary, isn’t a real school. Surprise, surprise. It’s actually a former campus of the University of South Wales in Caerleon.

  • I looked up Caerleon on Google Maps.
  • Then, I zoomed in.
  • I used the street view to check the buildings.

I found the campus! It looked so cool, even on the map. I could totally picture the characters walking around there.

Then I moved on to Otis’s house. I learned that it’s a real house called The Chalet, and it’s in Symonds Yat. So, more Googling I did!

  • I searched “The Chalet Symonds Yat.”
  • I found some articles about it.
  • I even saw some pictures of the interior, it looked really cozy.

And that iconic bridge?

It’s the Tintern Wireworks Bridge! I read a couple of blog posts about people who had visited it and taken photos. It’s such a picturesque spot. I added it to my ever-growing list of places to visit.

Basically, I spent a good chunk of my afternoon going down this “Sex Education” location rabbit hole. I found so much information by just searching, reading articles, and using Google Maps. It’s amazing what you can discover with a little curiosity and some online digging!
