Okay, so the other day I was thinking, it’s almost Halloween, and I really wanted to do something fun. I got this idea to make some horror movie-themed drinks. I mean, who doesn’t love a good scare, right? And what’s better than watching a spooky movie with a drink that fits the vibe?

So, I started by hitting up the internet, just browsing, you know? I found a bunch of recipes, but a few really caught my eye. One was called the Neon Witches’ Brew. Sounded cool, right? It had all these bright colors, looked kinda trippy, and I thought, “This is perfect for setting the mood.”

I made a list of all the ingredients I needed – mostly stuff I already had in my kitchen, like some juices, sodas, and some food coloring. The witches’ brew needed some lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and green food coloring. Easy peasy.

  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Pineapple juice
  • Green food coloring

Then I saw another recipe inspired by that old movie, The Exorcist. This one was a Midori Sour. It looked kinda creepy, green and all, just like that pea soup scene from the movie. I had to try it! For this, I needed some Midori liqueur, which I had to go out and buy, some sour mix, and some more lemon-lime soda.

Making the Drinks

First, I tried making the Neon Witches’ Brew. I mixed the lemon-lime soda with the pineapple juice in a big punch bowl, then added a few drops of the green food coloring. Stirred it all up, and man, it looked awesome! It was this bright, almost glowing green color. I poured it into some glasses, added some ice, and even threw in some gummy worms to make it look extra spooky.

Next up was the Midori Sour. I mixed the Midori with the sour mix in a shaker, shook it up real good, and then strained it into a glass filled with ice. Topped it off with some lemon-lime soda, and it was done. It had this eerie green glow, perfect for watching The Exorcist, I thought.

I set up my living room with some Halloween decorations, dimmed the lights, and put on The Exorcist. Sipping on that Midori Sour while watching the movie was such an experience! The drink was kinda sweet and sour, and the color just added to the whole creepy vibe. I felt like I was really getting into the spirit of Halloween.

Later, I invited a couple of friends over, and we watched some more horror flicks. I made a big batch of the Neon Witches’ Brew, and it was a hit! Everyone loved the color and the taste, and it really got us in the mood for some scares. We ended up trying a few other recipes I found, but those two were definitely the favorites.

Honestly, it was such a fun night. Mixing those drinks, setting the mood, and just hanging out with friends watching scary movies – it was the perfect way to get ready for Halloween. I’m definitely doing this again next year, maybe with some new spooky drink recipes. If you’re into horror movies and looking for something fun to do, you should totally give this a try. It’s a blast!
