Well, howdy there! You wanna know about movies like that Hobbs and Shaw flick, huh? That one with The Rock and that bald fella, always punchin’ and blowin’ stuff up. I tell ya, it ain’t the only movie out there like that. There’s a whole bunch of ’em, if you know where to look.
First off, lemme tell ya, Hobbs and Shaw, that’s what they call a “spin-off.” Means it comes from another bunch of movies, the Fast and Furious ones. You don’t gotta watch all them old Fast and Furious movies to get what’s goin’ on in Hobbs and Shaw, but it kinda helps. You see, The Rock, he’s Hobbs, and that bald guy, he’s Shaw. They used to be fightin’ each other in them other movies, but now they gotta work together. That’s the whole shebang.
So, if you liked seein’ them two fellas bickerin’ and fightin’ while still savin’ the world, then you’re in luck. There’s plenty more where that came from. Movies with big muscles, big explosions, and lots of guys grunting. That’s what you’re lookin’ for, right?
Now, the granddaddy of ’em all, the one that started it all, that’s The Fast and the Furious from way back in 2001. That’s where you first see all them fast cars and crazy drivers. It ain’t exactly like Hobbs and Shaw, not yet. But it’s where it all begins. You see young fellas racin’ cars, gettin’ into trouble, and then, bam! They’re savin’ the world too, kinda like Hobbs and Shaw.
- Movies with buddy cops or rivals working together: You know, two guys who don’t like each other much, but they gotta team up to beat the bad guys. Like in Hobbs and Shaw, they bicker and fight, but they get the job done. Think of movies like Lethal Weapon or 48 Hrs. Old movies, but good ones. Them fellas are always yellin’ at each other but they got each other’s backs.
- Movies with over-the-top action: You want explosions? Car chases? Guys jumpin’ off buildings? That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Movies like Bad Boys or The Expendables. Them Expendables, they’re all old fellas, but they still know how to kick some butt. Just like The Rock! He ain’t gettin’ any younger, but he’s still strong as an ox.
- Movies with a supervillain to defeat: In Hobbs and Shaw, they gotta fight that fella who’s kinda like a robot, all strong and tough. Well, lots of movies got villains like that. Think about them James Bond movies. James Bond’s always fightin’ some crazy fella who wants to blow up the world. Or them superhero movies. Superman, Batman, them fellas always got some bad guy to stop. Same kinda thing, just with more muscles and less capes.
They say there might be another Hobbs and Shaw movie, or maybe The Rock, he’ll just do his own movie as Hobbs. And that Shaw fella, he might get a bigger part in the next Fast and Furious movie. Who knows? These movie folks, they always plannin’ something. But what I do know is, if you like seein’ guys punchin’ and cars crashin’, you ain’t gonna run outta movies to watch anytime soon.
Now, they got this thing in Hobbs and Shaw, where they talk about a new team. The Rock, he keeps hintin’ at it. Maybe they’ll make a whole bunch of movies about that team. A new bunch of fellas, or maybe some gals too, all workin’ together to save the world. And that bad guy organization from Hobbs and Shaw, Eteon, they probably want revenge. So that could be another movie right there! See? Plenty of stories to tell.
And don’t forget them deleted scenes and extra stuff they put on them DVDs and Blu-rays. They say Hobbs and Shaw got like 80 minutes of extra punchin’ and stuff. That’s like a whole ‘nother movie! So, you can watch the movie, then watch all the extra stuff, and it’s like you got two movies for the price of one. Can’t beat that, I tell ya.
