Well, howdy there! Let’s chew the fat about them 3D horror movies, the ones that make ya jump outta your skin! Them young’uns, they love this kinda stuff, makes their hearts beat faster than a hummingbird’s wings, I reckon.
What are these 3D horror movies anyway? Ya know, them movies where things fly right at your face! Like, a knife or a monster or somethin’. Scared the bejesus outta me the first time I saw one. Thought that monster was gonna snatch me right outta the theater!
First time I heard of these things, it was back in the day, somethin’ about a “House of Wax” with that fella, Vincent Price. He was a spooky one, that fella. They say he was the king of this 3D horror stuff. Don’t know much about kings, but he sure knew how to make ya squirm.
Then, there was this here “Creature from the Black Lagoon.” They made a second one too, “Revenge of the Creature,” I think they called it. Saw that one on TV, believe it or not! Had to wear them funny glasses, made ya look like a bug. But that creature, it was somethin’ else. Swimmin’ around, grunting and whatnot. Gave me the shivers, it did.
- Scary Movies these days Now, these young’uns, they got all sorts of fancy 3D movies. One fella told me about somethin’ called “Avatar.” Said it was the best 3D movie ever made. Don’t know nothin’ about that, but he seemed pretty worked up about it. Said it was like bein’ on another planet. Can ya imagine that? Me, on another planet? I’d miss my chickens too much.
- Why they like it? I don’t get why folks like bein’ scared. But these 3D movies, they make it even scarier, I guess. That stuff jumpin’ out at ya, makes ya feel like you’re right there in the movie. Not for me, thank ya very much. I’d rather be home, watchin’ my stories.
There’s lots of ’em, these 3D horror movies. They even got ’em on somethin’ called “Blu-ray.” Sounds fancy. They say there’s, like, 30 or more of ’em you can watch. Thirty! That’s a whole lotta screamin’ and jumpin’. My old heart couldn’t take it.
I heard some folks talkin’ about a movie called “Prometheus.” Somethin’ about findin’ where people come from, on the moon or some such. Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me. But they said it was scary. Probably had monsters jumpin’ out at ya, I bet.
They keep makin’ these movies, seems like every few years they come back around. Like a bad penny, I say. But folks keep watchin’ ’em, so I guess they must be doin’ somethin’ right. Me? I’ll stick to my stories, thank ya kindly.
The Future of 3D Horror Movies Who knows what they’ll come up with next? Maybe they’ll make it so ya can smell the monsters, or feel ’em breathin’ on your neck. Lord have mercy! I don’t even wanna think about it. I reckon I’ll just stick to my good ol’ TV, where the monsters stay put and don’t try to getcha.
So, that’s the long and short of it, as far as I can tell. Them 3D horror movies, they’re a frightenin’ bunch, but folks seem to love ’em. Just not this old lady. I like my peace and quiet, and I ain’t got no time for monsters jumpin’ out at me. I got chickens to feed and stories to watch. And that’s all there is to it, I reckon.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say about these 3D horror movies. They ain’t my cup of tea, but to each their own, I always say.
