Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about that movie, Single All the Way. Folks seem mighty curious ’bout where they filmed it, so let’s get down to brass tacks.
Mostly up in Canada, eh?
From what I hear, them movie folks, they went up to a place called Montreal up in Canada. That’s in somethin’ called Quebec. Heard it’s a big city, lots of folks up there. They filmed most of the movie around there, and in some smaller towns nearby. Like, there’s this place called Pointe-Claire, they did a bunch of filmin’ there too.

Now, they also say they got some shots of Los Angeles. That’s way down in California, warm and sunny I reckon. They didn’t film the whole movie there, mind you, just some of them fancy outside shots. You know, the ones where you see the whole city all spread out. They do that to make you think the story’s happenin’ in a certain place, even if it ain’t.
Filmin’ inside and out, they did.
They didn’t just film outside, you know. They had to go inside too! For that gym scene, the Bridgewater Spin & Fit place, they went to a real gym called Custom Conditioning. Probably fixed it up a bit to look just right for the movie, but that’s where they did it.
Why all this fuss about filmin’ locations?
I tell ya, folks get awful worked up about where movies are filmed. Guess it’s kinda like seein’ behind the scenes, you know? Makes it feel more real, maybe. And some folks, they like to go visit them places. Take pictures and such. Heck, I’d go visit if I could, but my old bones ain’t up for that much travelin’ no more.
The director and them actors, they did a good job.
That fella, Michael Mayer, he was the director. Means he told everyone what to do, I guess. And then there’s them actors, Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers, and Luke Macfarlane. They’re the ones pretendin’ to be all them characters in the story. They did a good job, I reckon, makin’ it all seem real.
So, there you have it.
That’s the long and short of it. Single All the Way, they filmed it mostly up in Canada, in Montreal and a couple other towns. And they got some shots of Los Angeles too. And don’t forget that gym, Custom Conditioning. Filmin’ a movie ain’t no easy task, I tell ya. Takes a whole lot of folks and a whole lot of places to make it all come together.

But I guess that’s what makes movies so interestin’ – they can take you anywhere, even if you’re just sittin’ in your own living room.
Filmin’ in them big cities like Los Angeles and London, seems like that’s where a lot of the movies are made. They say Los Angeles has had more movies filmed there than just about anywhere else. And London, well, that’s another popular spot. Guess them big cities got all the fancy equipment and all the folks who know how to use it. But sometimes, it’s nice to see them smaller towns gettin’ a little bit of attention too. Like that Pointe-Claire place up in Canada. Probably gave them folks somethin’ to talk about for a while.
