Okay, so I was messing around with this idea of making a horror movie about flowers, which sounds kinda weird, right? But I was thinking, what if flowers could be, like, super creepy?
Started with a rough idea
First, I just jotted down a bunch of ideas. I was thinking about what makes flowers scary. Maybe they could move? Or maybe they could have, like, teeth or something? I filled up a few pages in my notebook with some really wild stuff.
Figured out the story
Then I started to put together a basic story. I figured it would be cool if there was this group of friends who find a weird, old greenhouse. And inside, the flowers are alive and not in a good way. I wrote out a simple outline, just to get the main points down.
Made the flowers come alive (sort of)
- I tried to draw what these scary flowers might look like. I’m no artist, but it was fun. I gave them sharp petals and long, twisty stems.
- After that, I grabbed my phone and tried to film some of the plants in my backyard. I wanted to see if I could make them look spooky with some weird angles and shadows.
Played with some effects
I downloaded a free video editing app and started messing around with the clips I filmed. I added some dark filters and slowed down the footage to make it look more eerie. It actually started to look kind of creepy!
Wrote some dialogue
Next, I wrote a few lines of dialogue for my characters. I imagined what they would say when they first saw these freaky flowers. I kept it simple, like, “What the heck is that?” and “Let’s get out of here!”
Put it all together
Finally, I tried to put all the pieces together in the video editing app. I added the dialogue, some creepy music I found online, and played around with the timing. It was a bit rough, but I actually made a short, kind of scary video about killer flowers!
It’s not going to win any awards, but it was a fun little project. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll turn it into a real movie. For now, it’s just a cool thing I made in my spare time.
