Okay, so today I wanted to do something a little different and fun. I’ve always been a huge fan of horror movies, like, I’ve seen a ton of them. So I thought, why not make a multiple-choice trivia game about horror movies? It sounded like a blast to put together and play with friends.
First, I brainstormed a bunch of horror movies that I know well. I jotted down classics like “Halloween,” “The Exorcist,” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” and also some newer ones like “Get Out” and “The Babadook.” I wanted to have a good mix of older and newer films to make it interesting for everyone.
Then came the fun part – writing the questions! I tried to come up with questions that weren’t too easy, but also not impossible. I included stuff about famous quotes, iconic scenes, the actors, you name it. For example, I wrote a question like, “What is the name of the killer in ‘Friday the 13th’?” with the options being Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Leatherface.
I also decided to throw in some trickier ones to really test people’s knowledge. Like, “In ‘The Shining,’ what is the name of the hotel where the story takes place?” I listed options like The Overlook Hotel, The Stanley Hotel, Bates Motel, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. See, a little bit harder, right?
After I had about 30 questions, I organized them into a simple format. I wrote out each question and then listed the four multiple-choice answers underneath. Easy peasy.
Finally, I gathered a few of my friends who also love horror movies and we played the game! It was so much fun seeing who knew the most and who got stumped by some of the harder questions. We had a lot of laughs and it was a great way to spend an evening.
Overall, it was a pretty simple project, but it was super enjoyable to create and even more fun to play. If you’re a horror movie fan, I definitely recommend giving it a try! You can easily customize the questions to fit your favorite movies and the people you’re playing with. It’s a great way to test your knowledge and have some spooky fun.
