Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole “horror movie trivia team names” thing. You know, for those pub quizzes or trivia nights where you want to show off your scary movie knowledge, but also have a bit of fun with it? Yeah, I spent way too much time on this, but I think it was worth it.
First off, I started just jotting down all the horror movies I could think of. Big ones, small ones, classics, new releases – everything. My notebook looked like a psycho’s diary after a while, all filled with titles like “The Exorcist,” “Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Saw,” you name it. Then I tried to think about it all day long.
Then came the fun part – twisting those titles into something punny or funny. It was like, how can I take “The Silence of the Lambs” and make it a team name? I played around with “The Silence of the Rams,” but that just felt kind of lame. It is not fit at all.
I started mixing and matching. Like, taking a part of one movie title and smashing it with another. It was like Frankenstein’s monster, but with words instead of, you know, body parts. That’s when I started to use some other tools, like a thesaurus, just to find other words that could work.
I had this whole system, too. I made a few categories. You got your classic monsters, your slasher flicks, your zombie stuff, and then the more, like, psychological horror. I wanted to cover all the bases, you know?
I also started thinking about famous lines or characters from the movies. That opened up a whole new can of worms! Like, using “Here’s Johnny!” from “The Shining” somehow. Or something with Freddy Krueger’s glove. The possibilities were endless, and honestly, my brain was fried by the end of it. I have to find some other ways to find out better ideas.
