Get Ready for Banff Film Festival Spokane WA : Adventure Awaits!

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this Banff Film Festival thing for a while, and I finally got around to it! This one was in Spokane, WA. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure what to expect, I just knew it had something to do with mountains and outdoorsy stuff, which is totally my jam.

Getting Started

First things first, I had to find out when and where it was happening. I did a quick search and It’s very easy to find the events. Then found the Spokane one. Bingo!

Next up, tickets. I went for it and grabbed a ticket online. Easy peasy.

The Experience

I drove over to Spokane. Found some parking (that’s always an adventure in itself, right?), and headed into the venue. I grabbed some snacks, because, you know, priorities, and found a decent seat.

The lights dimmed, and the show began. Woah. Seriously, these films were incredible. We’re talking about people doing some seriously crazy stuff in the mountains – skiing down insane slopes, climbing sheer rock faces, kayaking through raging rapids… the whole nine yards. My jaw was pretty much on the floor the entire time.

There were a bunch of different short films, so it wasn’t just one long movie. That was cool because it kept things interesting. Each film had its own vibe, its own story. Some were super intense and action-packed, others were more thoughtful and reflective, about the connection between people and nature.

My Thoughts

I’m not gonna lie, I felt pretty inspired after watching all that. I mean, I’m not about to go climb Mount Everest or anything, but it definitely made me want to get out there and explore more.

It’s super cool seeing what people are capable of, and the films really showcased the beauty of these wild places. It’s a good reminder that there’s a whole world out there beyond our everyday routines.

So yeah, that was my Banff Film Festival experience in Spokane. If you’re into the outdoors, adventure, or just want to see some amazing filmmaking, I’d definitely recommend checking it out. Just be prepared to be amazed (and maybe a little bit jealous of those athletes!).
