You know, these days, everybody is talking about those horror movie beanies. I saw some young folks wearing them. They look scary, I tell ya! Lots of folks like those horror things. Me? I don’t get it, but hey, whatever floats your boat, right?
So, these beanies, they got all sorts of pictures on ’em. Some got that guy with the hockey mask, you know the one, from Friday the 13th. Always thought that was a silly movie, but people sure do love it. They say it is classic. And then there’s another one, with that fella with the burned face and the knife fingers, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy Krueger! That’s his name! He is scary. He gives me bad dreams just thinking about him.
And don’t even get me started on Halloween! That Michael Myers, he’s a whole other kind of creepy. Always wearing that white mask, just staring at people, never saying a word. Makes my skin crawl! These beanies, they got all them on there. You can find one with anything you want. There is one with Jason, one with Freddy, one with Michael Myers, and many others.
I saw a girl, she’s probably about my granddaughter’s age, wearing one that said “Final Girl” on it. I asked her what it meant, and she said it’s from those horror movies. The girl who survives at the end, she’s the final girl. Well, I guess that’s something. At least someone makes it out alive in those things!

I saw some other ones too. One had a picture of a sweater, they called it “Danny’s Apollo 11 Sweater”. I don’t know who Danny is, but that sweater looked warm. Another one had a picture of a guy with pins all over his face, they called it “Black Metal Pinhead”. That one was a little too much for me, even for a horror movie fan. People call him Pinhead. They say that Pinhead is cool.
Then there was one that said “Camp Crystal Lake Adventure Awaits”. Now that one, I kind of liked. It reminded me of when my kids were little, we used to go camping up in the mountains. But, I think it’s from that Friday the 13th movie. That Jason, he lives near a camp. It’s called Camp Crystal Lake. He always kills people there.
One had a picture of a lady, and it said “Bride of Frankenstein Anatomy Lesson”. She looks scary. But she is also beautiful. And one said, “Haddonfield High School”. I guess that’s where that Michael Myers fella went to school. Another one said “Retro Suspiria”. That is a movie from long ago, and there is a remake, too. They are all about witches. There are a lot of witches in the movie. They are really scary.
These horror movie beanies, they are everywhere. You can find one with your favorite killer on it. I heard that they are making a new horror movie about a killer clown. Maybe they will make a beanie about it. I don’t like clowns. They are scary. But I know that some people like them.

They keep your head warm, and they show off your favorite scary movie. They are very popular. They remind you of being a kid again, watching those movies and getting scared.
