It’s time to announce Henry Cavill‘s new role — as an “ambassador of elegance” for luxury watch brand Longines.
In striking up the new collaboration, Cavill will soon visit the brand’s headquarters in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, where he can get a close look at the craftsmanship and details refined by Swiss watchmaker over the course of its history that spans two centuries, back to 1832.
“What draws me to Longines is their understated elegance,” Cavill said in a statement. “True quality doesn’t need to announce itself. It’s evident in every detail and in every action. This is a philosophy, backed by generations of precision craftsmanship and artistry, that resonates deeply with my own values.”
Added Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines: “In Henry, we recognize a real affinity with our brand’s values. His sophistication, genuine warmth and multifaceted personality reflect what elegance means today. Whether commanding the screen in epic productions or sharing his passions for aviation and equestrianism, he maintains an authenticity and grace that makes him a clear embodiment of the Longines spirit.”
Cavill, whose history with brand partnerships includes a run as an ambassador for Boss Eyewear, next stars in the live-action Voltron for Amazon MGM Studios and director Rawson Marshall Thurber opposite Sterling K. Brown and Alba Baptista, and Guy Ritchie’s In the Grey opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez and Rosamund Pike. His other credits include playing Superman in the DC universe entry Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Argylle, The Witcher, Enola Holmes, Justice League and more. Cavill also heads up a production company, Promethean Productions.
