Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here horror movie museum thing. I ain’t never been to one myself, but I heard folks talkin’. Sounds like a spooky place, all full of scary stuff from them movies. You know, the ones with the monsters and the ghosts and all that jumpin’ out at ya.
First off, they got these museums all over the place, I reckon. Heard tell there’s one in London, been there since 2009, they say. Then there’s this new one, the first of its kind in the UK, over in Stoke-on-Trent. Imagine that, Stoke-on-Trent! Who’d a thunk it? They got movie props and all sorts of scary things. Must be a sight to see, if you’re into that kinda thing.
And get this, they even got a place in Connecticut, a wax museum they call “The Witch’s Dungeon.” Sounds creepy, right? Full of wax figures of them old-timey horror movie stars. Like that fella, Alfred Hitchcock, he made a scary movie way back when, called “Blackmail.” It was one of them talkin’ pictures, real newfangled back then.
Now, I ain’t seen many horror movies myself. Too scary for my taste. But my grandson, he loves ’em. He’s always talkin’ ’bout this movie called “The Relic,” set in a museum. Says it’s real scary, keeps ya on the edge of your seat. He rented it from one of them Blockbuster stores, remember them? Shows how old he is, I guess.
- They got all sorts of scary things in these museums.
- Some museums got movie props, others got wax figures.
- Some of these movies are real old, like from back in the 1920s.
Speaking of movies, I heard tell they make a lot of them horror movies in certain places. Like this place called Jersey City, in New Jersey. Apparently, they filmed a whole bunch of scary movies there. More than anywhere else, they say. Then there’s Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., and Atlanta. All them big cities, I guess they like the spooky stuff.
I don’t know why folks like bein’ scared. Seems kinda silly to me. But I guess it’s like ridin’ a rollercoaster, some folks just get a thrill out of it. And these horror movie museums, well, they’re like a rollercoaster for your eyes, I reckon. All them scary things, just starin’ at ya.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a fright, maybe you should go visit one of these museums. Just don’t go alone, especially not at night. And don’t say I didn’t warn ya if somethin’ jumps out at ya! It ain’t my fault if you get the heebie-jeebies.
Anyway, that’s all I know about these horror movie museums. Like I said, I ain’t never been to one, but I hear they’re somethin’ else. Just be careful, that’s all I’m sayin’. Them horror movies, they can get into your head.
And another thing, they say some of these museums are dedicated to the whole horror “genre”, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but I bet it just means they got all kinds of scary stuff, not just from movies. Maybe they got old books and pictures and stuff too. Who knows what kind of creepy things you might find in there. It gives me the shivers just thinkin’ about it.
So there you have it, a little bit about horror movie museums. If you’re brave enough, go check one out. But don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
