So, I’ve been on this kick lately, right? Trying to find fun stuff to do around town that doesn’t involve just, you know, sitting on the couch and binge-watching whatever’s new on streaming. And I’m a huge horror movie fan – always have been. So I got this idea: what about horror movie trivia? I started wondering if there was anything like that happening near me.
First thing I did, naturally, was pull out my phone and hit up Google. Just typed in “horror movie trivia near me” and waited to see what popped up. Honestly, the first few results were kind of a bust. A bunch of generic event listings, nothing really specific to what I was looking for. Felt a little bit like finding a needle in a haystack, you know?
But I wasn’t giving up that easily. I decided to dig a little deeper. I started checking out the websites of local bars and pubs. A lot of them have trivia nights, so I figured it was worth a shot. I spent a good hour just clicking through different sites, looking at their event calendars. Lots of general knowledge trivia, some music trivia… still no horror, though.
- Checked out the local cinema’s page – nothing.
- Looked up some board game cafes – they had themed nights, but no horror movie stuff.
- Even tried searching for horror movie fan clubs in the area – struck out there, too.
I was starting to feel a little discouraged. Maybe this just wasn’t a thing around here. But then, I had another idea. I hopped on to some social media. Figured I’d ask around, see if anyone knew of anything.
I posted in a few local groups, asking if anyone had heard of any horror movie trivia events. I also checked out some horror-themed groups I’m in, just to see if anything had been mentioned there. And guess what? Someone actually replied! They told me about this little bar on the other side of town that does themed trivia nights, and they were pretty sure they’d done horror movies before.
I immediately looked up the bar online. Sure enough, their website had a calendar, and there it was: “Horror Movie Trivia Night” scheduled for next week! I was so stoked! I grabbed my phone and immediately texted a couple of friends who are also into horror. We’re all planning to go. Fingers crossed we’ll do alright – I’ve been brushing up on my horror movie knowledge all week!

I was really looking to find some horror movie trivia, and after a bit of searching and asking around, I finally found something. It just goes to show, sometimes you gotta put in a little effort to find the cool stuff. Can’t wait for trivia night – it’s gonna be a blast!
