Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to jazz up my Tumblr with a new theme, and I’m really into horror movies. Like, REALLY into them. So I thought, why not combine the two? Let’s dive into how I did it.
Finding the Right Stuff
First, I needed to gather some cool stuff to use. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing Tumblr itself. I used tags like “horror movies,” “classic horror,” “horror icons,” and even specific movie titles like “Halloween” or “The Shining.” You would not believe the amount of GIFs, edits, and photos people have made. It’s a goldmine!
- I started looking for basic themes that are horror.
- I kept getting distracted by all of the awesome movie content.
- I started saving a bunch of pictures and GIFs that I thought looked good.
Putting it Together
Next, I went into my Tumblr’s customization settings. This part was a little tricky because every theme is different. I found one that looked like an old film, i use it.
- I changed my blog’s background to a picture from my collection –I used a dark forest.
- The color, I changed the title color to a dark red color.
- I also put in the GIF that shows the scene of ghost.
The Final Touches
I wasn’t quite done yet. I wanted to make sure the whole blog felt consistent, you know? So, I did a few extra things:
- Fonts:I choose a font that make people feels horror.
- Layout:I chose a layout that would make my page look different.
And… that’s pretty much it! It took a while, but I’m super happy with how it turned out. My Tumblr now totally screams “horror movie fanatic,” which is exactly what I wanted.
