Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here movie, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” It ain’t just some fancy-pants picture show, it’s got a real story to it, ya know?
The Grinch, that green fella, he lives up on a mountain, all by his lonesome. He’s got a heart two sizes too small, they say. And lemme tell ya, it shows. He’s grumpy, he’s mean, and he just plain don’t like Christmas. Not one bit.

He thinks he’s gonna ruin Christmas for them Whos, make ’em all sad and miserable like him. But lemme tell ya, them Whos, they ain’t so easily discouraged.
Christmas mornin’ comes, and there ain’t a single present, not a single decoration. But them Whos, they gather in the town square, and they start to sing. They sing about Christmas, about bein’ together, about lovin’ each other.
And that Grinch, he’s up on that mountain, listenin’ to ’em sing. And somethin’ starts to happen. His heart, that shriveled up little thing, it starts to grow. It grows and grows, till it busts right outta his chest, almost clean through his shirt!
Then he realizes somethin’ important, somethin’ we should all remember. Christmas ain’t just about the presents and the fancy fixin’s. It’s about somethin’ more. So, the Grinch, he goes back down to Whoville, and he brings back all the stuff he stole. And he joins them Whos for their Christmas feast. And they all have a grand old time, even that grumpy old Grinch.
