Okay, so the other day I was messing around with this goofy online quiz thing called “How Would I Die in a Horror Movie?”. I figured, why not? It sounded like a fun way to kill some time, plus I’m a huge horror movie buff.
Finding the Quiz
First thing I did was hit up Google. I just typed in “how would i die in a horror movie quiz” and a bunch of options popped up. I clicked on one that looked kinda interesting, didn’t really pay attention to the site itself, just wanted to get to the questions, you know?
Taking the Quiz
The quiz itself was pretty standard. You know the type: a bunch of multiple-choice questions about your personality and how you’d react in scary situations. Stuff like:
- “You hear a weird noise in the basement. Do you:”
- A) Grab a weapon and go investigate?
- B) Call the police?
- C) Pretend you didn’t hear anything and go back to sleep?
- D) hide with your family and never look outside again?
- “Your friend is acting strangely. Do you:”
- A) Confront them about it?
- B) Try to help them, even if it’s dangerous?
- C) Distance yourself from them?
- D) kill them before they kill you?
I went through and answered everything honestly, or at least, as honestly as you can when you’re imagining yourself in a slasher flick. I definitely picked some of the “brave” options, like investigating noises and confronting potential monsters. I mean, who wants to be the boring character who hides the whole time, right?
The Hilarious Result
After I finished all the questions, the quiz spit out my result. It said something like: “You’d die a hero’s death, trying to save your friends from the killer, but ultimately sacrificing yourself.” I laughed out loud! It was so cheesy and predictable, but also kinda satisfying. I mean, if I’m gonna go out in a horror movie, I might as well go out in a blaze of glory, even it’s kinda stupid.
I even shared the result on my Facebook, all my other horror-loving friends got a good kick out of it, many friends left comments to share their results, it was so much fun!
Honestly, the whole thing was just a silly bit of fun, but It got me thinking about all the horror movie tropes and clichés. And, you know, it made me appreciate the fact that I’m not actually in a horror movie.
