Well, let me tell ya, this here movie called “Inside Out 2” sure got me thinkin’. It’s one of them animated movies that ain’t just for kids, but for folks of all ages. I sat down to watch it, and my old heart was moved by what I saw. You know, sometimes we all get caught up in our emotions and forget that there’s more to us than just how we feel. This movie shows us that real good, I tell ya.
The first thing I noticed, right off the bat, is how it talks about emotions. You got your anger, your joy, your sadness, and all them other feelings running around in a person’s head like they’re in a big ol’ control room. And it’s just like the Bible says, our emotions don’t define who we are. They don’t! You might feel mad one minute, sad the next, but that ain’t what makes you, you. It’s what’s inside, what you do with them emotions, that really counts. Ain’t that a lesson right there?
Now, I ain’t no expert on movies or nothin’, but this here “Inside Out 2” is a real fine example of what I call a movie with a message. And it’s a message that fits right in with what we need to hear, especially as Christians. You see, this movie shows how Riley, the little girl in the story, is growing up and facing all sorts of changes, just like we all do. And when she’s going through tough times, it ain’t just the happy emotions that help her through, but all of them – even the sad ones. And that’s something we could all learn from, I reckon.
Emotions Don’t Control Us, But We Can Control How We React
There’s this one part in the movie where Riley is about to make a big decision, and her emotions start to get all mixed up, like they always do when you’re feeling overwhelmed. But in the end, it’s clear that we ain’t got to let them emotions take over. We can choose how to act, how to respond. It’s just like how the Bible tells us to be slow to anger and quick to listen. We ain’t gotta let anger, fear, or sadness run the show. We got the power to choose joy, peace, and patience, even when life ain’t going our way.
The Importance of All Emotions
Another thing this movie shows us is that all emotions are important. Now, I know, we all like to feel happy, but let me tell you, sadness ain’t somethin’ we should just try to avoid. In this movie, the character named Sadness, she’s seen as a helper, too. She helps Riley understand that it’s okay to be sad sometimes, that sadness can lead to healing and growth. Ain’t that just like life? Sometimes, we gotta go through hard times to come out stronger. The Bible talks about that, too – how the trials we go through can build our character. Sadness teaches Riley, and us, that it’s okay to feel all sorts of things, and we don’t need to push them away.
Christian Values in “Inside Out 2”
As I watched this movie, I couldn’t help but see the Christian values tucked in there, even if they ain’t outright preachin’ at ya. It reminds me of the verses in Philippians 4:6-7, where it talks about not being anxious about anything, but bringing everything to God in prayer. “Inside Out 2” shows how, even in the midst of confusion and change, Riley and her emotions learn to work together, to listen to each other, and ultimately find peace. That’s what we should be doin’ too, right? Trusting God and finding peace in Him, even when we don’t know what’s going on around us.
How “Inside Out 2” is Good for Families
If you’re wonderin’ whether this movie’s good for the whole family, well, let me tell ya, it sure is. I was worried at first, ya know, with all them rumors floating around about how they might try to throw some stuff in there that don’t sit right with good Christian folks. But I was pleasantly surprised. The movie doesn’t try to push any of that nonsense. It’s a wholesome, family-friendly movie that shows real emotions and real struggles. And it shows how we can face those struggles with faith, hope, and love.
Riley’s Journey of Self-Discovery
Now, as the movie goes on, Riley’s emotions start to realize they don’t have to be enemies, but they can work together. I think that’s a big ol’ lesson for us all. Sometimes, we let our feelings fight against each other, and we end up confused and lost. But if we can learn to let joy, sadness, anger, and all the others work together, we can be a lot stronger. That’s what Riley learns in the movie, and it’s somethin’ we can all take to heart.
In the end, I reckon “Inside Out 2” is more than just a movie for kids. It’s a story about how we all deal with emotions and how we can learn to live in peace, even when life throws us curveballs. And that’s somethin’ we all could use a little more of, don’t ya think?
