Now, I don’t know much about all them fancy terms folks be usin’, but I do know a thing or two about history. And let me tell ya, this movie called Is Genesis History? sure made me think. It’s a whole two hours of folks tryin’ to make sense of where we all come from, and whether the Bible’s story about creation holds up against all them big ol’ fancy science books. They ain’t shy about it neither, and they go deep—real deep. It’s a bit like listenin’ to a preacher tryin’ to explain things with a big ol’ fancy Bible in his hand. But, they got some folks in the movie who seem to know what they talkin’ about.
Now, if ya ask me, the film spends a lot of time arguin’ about how the Earth’s age and all that fits into what’s told in the Bible. They bring up the story of Genesis and look at it through the eyes of them who believe the world’s young. I’ll tell ya, they ain’t shy about puttin’ them ideas out there—like this world was made just a few thousand years ago, not millions like them scientists say. Some people might find that a bit much, but they sure do stick to their guns.
The movie’s full of experts, and they go on ‘bout how the flood could have really happened the way the Bible says, and how them fossils might not be so old after all. They even show y’all a bunch of rocks and whatnot to make their point. Now, you might not agree with all of it, but they sure make ya think. It’s a lot to take in, and ya gotta be ready for it.
One thing I’ll say, the movie don’t leave ya hangin’. It’s all put together real nice, with pretty pictures of mountains, rocks, and some real fancy talkers who know how to make it sound all official. But, I’ll tell ya, I don’t know if it’ll change anybody’s mind about the age of the Earth or not. Folks who’ve been taught by them big city scientists might just roll their eyes and say, “That’s all wrong.” But, for someone like me, who don’t know too much, it sure made me scratch my head and think twice.
It’s a Christian film, through and through, and they don’t try to hide that. They believe in that young Earth creationism stuff, and they ain’t afraid to show it. They got some scientists in there who talk about how the Bible and science don’t have to be at odds, and that’s somethin’ I can appreciate. I don’t know if I’m sold on all of it, but it’s sure an interestin’ watch, and it makes ya wanna look at the world a little different.
Some folks might say it’s just another movie tryin’ to push an agenda, but it’s got a lot of heart, and they truly believe in what they’re sayin’. I reckon that’s what counts. Now, I ain’t sayin’ you’ll agree with everything in it, but you might find yourself wonderin’ if they ain’t got a point after all.

If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ that’ll challenge the way you see things, this film might be just the thing for ya. It don’t shy away from big questions, and it’s got some real strong opinions on what happened at the beginning of time. I’d say give it a watch, especially if you’re the kind who likes to think on big ol’ ideas like creation and history.
All in all, I’d say it’s worth your time, even if you don’t agree with all of it. It might make ya scratch your head, and that’s always a good thing when you’re watchin’ a movie that’s tryin’ to teach ya somethin’ new.
