British actress Jameela Jamil, best known for her turns in The Good Place and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, is set to guest star in a six-part legal drama from the BBC.
Jamil will appear in The Split Up, set in the world of Manchester’s high net-worth divorce circuit. The series focuses on the Kishan family, a powerhouse British South Asian law firm whose success, secrets and loyalties are about to be tested.
Shot on set this week, Jamil — also an activist and radio host in her native U.K. — posed with fellow cast member Ritu Arya, who plays Aria Kishan. Jamil last appeared on our television screens in 2023 with Poker Face.
Sanjeev Bhaskar (Unforgotten), Aysha Kala (Virdee), Arian Nik (Film Club), Danny Ashok (Dinosaur), Dimitri Leonidas (Those About To Die), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Sindhu Vee (Matilda the Musical), Shalini Peiris (The White Lotus) and Tom Forbes (Queenie) round out the cast, with Lenny Henry and Jane Horrocks in guest star roles.
The BBC One and BBC iPlayer series, with story and characters by Ursula Rani Sarma (Smother, Delicious), is based on the smash-hit The Split with Nicola Walker, Stephen Mangan and Annabel Scholey.

The Split is created by Abi Morgan and produced by SISTER in association with Little Chick. Morgan returns as executive producer, alongside Sarma, Jane Featherstone (Black Doves, Coldwater) and Bryony Arnold (Code of Silence, Peaky Blinders) on The Split Up.
BBC Studios is handling global sales.
