Stand-up comedian Katherine Ryan will host The Real Housewives of London reunion special for the recently announced series, Hayu said on Thursday.
The Canadian star, based in the U.K. and best known for appearances on such British panel shows as Have I Got News With You, Mock the Week, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, will bring her unique humor to navigate the final discussion of the season, get answers to all the lingering questions and spill some Housewives tea. The role has long been held by Andy Cohen for the U.S. installments.
“Pinch me and tell me this is real,” Ryan said. “As a mega-fan of The Real Housewives franchise — and of Hayu — I can’t wait to get Juliet, Amanda, Karen, Juliet, Panthea and Nessie into the hot seats at the end of the season.”
She continued: “Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me, and I’m honored to be trusted to represent the fans and to bring a female perspective to analysing all the emotions, arguments, twists and revelations.”
Hayu’s first-ever commission of an original series, The Real Housewives of London features a cast of six women deeply embedded in London high society: Juliet Angus, a Chicago native, stylist, social media influencer and founding cast member of Ladies of London; Amanda Cronin, a former model turned entrepreneur who founded Amanda Caroline Beauty skincare and runs The Secret Door, an aesthetics and wellness clinic in Belgravia, and Karen Loderick-Peace, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Jersey, the native of Jamaica who came to the U.K. in her twenties and is preparing to launch her own fashion label.

Also starring in the show is Juliet Mayhew, an Australian native and former Miss Galaxy Universe, now the boss of a successful event planning company; Panthea Parker, a native of Iran and mother-of-four who’s known for her high-society lifestyle and Nessie Welschinger, formerly a global equity exec at Schroders, who now runs the renowned Chelsea Cake Company and showcased her skills on Bake Off: The Professionals. The Real Housewives of London went into production in March, with six bold, dynamic and successful socialites showcasing the luxury of living in the U.K.’s iconic capital.
Produced by UTAS U.K. Productions (Made in Chelsea), a division of Universal Studio Group, The Real Housewives of London is the first-ever commission of an original series by Hayu — the all-reality, direct-to-consumer subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service from NBCUniversal — and will be the 30th international instalment in the wildly popular franchise.
The series will premiere on the service later this year.
