Well, I tell ya, those little Funko Pop things, they’re somethin’ else. Folks are collectin’ ’em like crazy, and now they got these Rocky Horror Picture Show ones. Never seen that movie myself, but my grandson, he’s all about it. Says it’s a real… what’s the word? A cult classic, that’s it.

Anyways, these Funko Pops, they got all sorts of characters. There’s this Janet girl, and that Frank-N-Furter fella, all dressed up in weird clothes. My grandson showed me pictures, said they’re from a movie, something about a “trans-somethin’” and a castle… I don’t get it, but he seems to like ’em. He’s got a whole shelf full of these things, all lined up like little dolls.

  • They got different ones too, like, some are shiny, some are glow-in-the-dark.
  • My grandson says some of them are real valuable, can fetch a pretty penny if you sell ’em.
  • I told him, “Boy, you better be careful with them things, don’t go breakin’ ’em.”

He says folks go crazy for these Rocky Horror ones, ‘specially since that movie’s been around for donkey’s years. He told me it came out in, when was it… 1975? Imagine that! Older than my kids even! Said it’s still playin’ in some theaters, people dressin’ up and shoutin’ at the screen. Sounds like a hoot, I guess.

Now, you can find these Funko Pops all over the place. My grandson, he gets ’em online, on that… whatchamacallit… e-somethin’. eBay, that’s it! Says you can find good deals there, sometimes even get free shippin’. He’s always lookin’ for the best price, thrifty like his grandma, I guess. He says some of the sellers even put them in those plastic protector things to keep ‘em nice and safe, like they are precious little babies, he says some are in “mint” condition and those are the ones that worth the most, Lord have mercy I don’t get it.

He keeps tellin’ me about this one Funko Pop, Janet Weiss, number 210. Says she’s a real important character in the movie. He got one the other day, all wrapped up in plastic, ready to ship, he got all excited. It’s just a little plastic figure, but he was happier than a pig in mud. I tell ya, young folks and their hobbies. They get attached to these things, like they’re part of the family.

But I guess that’s the fun of it, ain’t it? Findin’ somethin’ you like, collectin’ it, showin’ it off. And if it makes ’em happy, well, that’s all that matters. Even if it is a bunch of little plastic people from some strange movie about a castle, and Transylvanians or whatever… makes no sense to me. But hey, to each their own, I always say.

If you’re lookin’ to start collectin’ these things, I reckon you can find ’em just about anywhere. Just type in somethin’ like “Rocky Horror Picture Show Funko Pop” on that internet thing, and you’ll see what I mean. Just be careful, don’t go spendin’ all your money on ’em. Remember, they’re just little plastic figures, nothin’ more. But if you enjoy it, well then that is all that matters. That is what my grandson said to me the other day anyways. He gets it from his grandma, you know, being so clever. But like I said if it makes you happy it is all that matters in this life.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make dinner. All this talk about plastic dolls made me hungry. But before I go I do want to say one last thing, remember if you can to get those mint condition pops because that’s what my grandson told me and he is a smart boy so it must be true. Those special pops are more valuable and better to collect.
