Alright, let’s gab about them good action movies from 2012. You know, the ones with all the bang-bang and boom-boom. I ain’t no fancy movie critic, mind you, just a regular person who likes a good flick now and then.
So, first off, there was this “The Avengers” movie. Everyone and their grandma was talkin’ ’bout it. Iron Man, Captain America, all them superhero fellas teaming up. It was a real hoot, I tell ya. Lots of stuff blowin’ up and people flyin’ around. Definitely a fun watch, even if you don’t know heads or tails ’bout them comic books. The Avengers, they say, it’s maybe the best superhero movie ever. Got big-shot actors in it too, like that fella Robert Downey Jr. He plays that Iron Man, always makin’ jokes and whatnot.
Then there was “The Dark Knight Rises”. Now, that one was a bit darker, you know? Batman, that brooding fella, always fightin’ crime and lookin’ all serious. But it was good, real good. Kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Had me holdin’ my breath more than once, I swear. It ain’t all happy-go-lucky like some of them others, but it sure does make you think.
- And let’s not forget “Skyfall”. That James Bond fella, he sure knows how to get himself into trouble, doesn’t he?
- This “Skyfall”, it’s got plenty of action, believe you me. And it’s pretty too, not just a bunch of explosions.
- They say the fella who made it, Sam Mendes, he knows how to make things look good, even when they’re blowin’ up.
Oh, and there was this “Bourne Legacy” movie. More spy stuff, you know? Secret agents and chases and all that jazz. It was a bit complicated for my taste, but my nephew, he loved it. Said it was real smart and clever. I just liked the parts where they were runnin’ and jumpin’ and shootin’. That’s always fun to watch, ain’t it?
Now, some folks were really into this “Expendables 2” movie. Said it was the best thing since sliced bread. All them old action stars gettin’ together for one last hurrah. I liked it alright, but it was a bit too much for me. Too many muscles and too much shootin’. But hey, if you like that kinda thing, you’ll probably love it. One fella even said it’s the best movie he ever saw! Can you believe that? Said he could watch it over and over and never get tired of it.
And then there were a few others, like “Battleship” and “Looper”. “Battleship” was kinda silly, with them big ships fightin’ aliens. But it was fun, you know? Didn’t have to think too hard. “Looper”, that one was a bit strange. Time travel and all that. Made my head spin a little, but it was definitely different. Not your run-of-the-mill action movie, that’s for sure.
So, yeah, 2012 was a pretty good year for action movies. Lots of different kinds, somethin’ for everyone. Whether you like superheroes or spies or just plain old explosions, there was somethin’ to tickle your fancy. And that’s what I like, you know? A good movie to take your mind off things and just have a good time. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, I say.
2012 was a good year, but not the best ever. Some movies were good, some were just okay. But that’s how it always is, ain’t it? You can’t expect every movie to be a masterpiece. But as long as there’s a few good ones out there, I’m happy. And 2012 definitely had its share of good ones. So go on, find one of them, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the show.
